So. Syndra's winrate has gone down 2% in just a few days.

According to op.gg Syndra's playrate skyrocketed, although sadly it even tanked down so far to 45% in darn silvers. Just saying. Syndra isn't worth playing if you don't get specific runes for her cdrs, magic pen and a lot of expensive stuff. And I don't care what you saw on stream these days but she needs a TON of practice even to get rolling decent.

Last day in ranked, a Syndra on my team complained that she can't land her Qs and the mana costs are so high. As a result, she bought a lost chapter and a TEAR, and still cant land stuff and fed in the end. She even said stuff like the mana costs shall be the same as Karthus Q.

Like...please. This champ needs dedication.

2 percent is pretty small

It is really high. Just for a reminder, her winrate was already quite low in the first place.

correction im really high [zombie-nunu-bummed] but thats cuz alot of people who never played her before are playing her cuz of wsorlds silly willy

No offense, but you're only playing at G5, which is basically just above Silver. (I'm Bronze 4, I'm not trying to talk down about Ranks) The whole reason she's even being discussed for nerfs is at competitive play where some of the best players in the world fight with organized team comps.

Well to be honest, my elo is exactly the place where people shouldn't be doing this sort of stuff and get good, not bad.

But well, the current meta in competitive is quite easy to comprehend. Riot just nerfed all the good midlaners that interested the pros. (If you looked at fakers stream, he looked like genuinely bored using karma and cass.) Syndra is like the only lane bully left that can dominate early solo.

The obvious cause of this fiasco was the double W buff, which has some really high ratios, ball positioning, ult setups and a high slow. Its just so overloaded that it needs some power shifted.

Personally, I'm not sure whether she needs nerfs per-say over just a power shift. I don't know enough about her anyways. But just trying to explain why some other people were considering discussing nerfs.

Also Riot doesn't have the best history of making logical changes, sooo...

I think a power-shift is fine, but i do not think she deserves flat nerfs...I play her quite a lot and yes, she is strong, but there are MUCH worse contenders than her in the mid lane and I really don't wanna see her nerfed for no good reason

So wait are you saying to buff syndra or are you saying people playing Syndra and losing and making her winrate lower is bad. I'm confused what you are saying

I'm flatly saying people should at least practice at normals and look at builds and statistic sites.

for example, If you go with like a standard cookie cutter armor/mr magicpen/AP runepage, her potential suddenly goes so down it just plummets to 46% flat compared to the best one which is like 53%.

I agree people shouldn't first time her in ranked or like not even know all her abilities and secrets. :P

Yeah despite her power I find she actually isn't a champion you can faceroll with right out of the box. Gonna be great worlds gonna nerf her so there's little point in playing her.

All that being said, she is DEFINITELY a lot easier to play than she used to be, and the numerous buffs were overtuned.

I'm guessing that things played in worlds will all have a little bump in popularity as people see pros do pro stuff, and people of all elos go "oooh I can do that!" and then go flail about in solo queue at whatever almost-certainly-not-pro level they actually play at.

Yeah. Had a game vs a Syndra the other day who was definitely not ready. I counter-picked with Ekko, and the Qs were either easy to dodge or she couldn't land them. That is when she felt like trying to harass me. TL;DR, having mained syndra s4, and continued to play throughout 5/6, I knew exactly how she had to play to win and she did little of it, essentially giving me a free win.

How about we all chill for a week or so?

Syndra takes some time to get used to.

The world's hype just made a lot of people try her out.

They will take a week to dump her or get good with her.

Let's talk in a week.

shoulda told that syndra to not worry about landing skillshots. just flash R ignite the nearest squishy and collect 300g.

Syndra isn't worth playing if you're not a good Syndra. Her winrate has gone down because meta sheep have been watching worlds but they ain't no Bjergsen/Faker.
