No one knows how to counter them yet..... I mean first few days of Ekko obviously you're going to be destructive once you understand his kit, but it takes longer for people to counter him. After Ekko release few 1-2 days the boards blew up with people saying Ekko is widely broken because they did well in one game or they got completely annihilated. That is because no one knows how to play against him and people are using that advantage to beat you in games or you beat them.

When Velkoz was first released the old GD looked just like this. Everyone was just like "OMG TRUE DAMAGE AND SOO LOW MANA COSTS. SO OP"

Then everyone realized he could be destroyed by anything that had a gap close and the complaints stopped. I expect something similar will happen with Ekko.
