Now I got all the dumbasses in my games picking the worst support you could have. Yes Bard is a viable champ if you have a well-coordinated team that can perfectly wrok together. Do you have that in gold? I THINK NOT. And since that is pretty much ALL Bard can offer picking him is effectivly making the enemy team win a technical 5 vs 4+a ranged minion with a gimmic.

And on top of that, most players on this level don't even know how to roam right. Roaming means usually: leave your lane, be effective somewhere else, athen return ASAP. However on my level it looks a bit like this: just wander off, arrive at mid to wonder why you suddenly arrived at the totally wrong time while our laner was OOM, do absolutely nothing, waddle around some bit more in the jungle to grab more chimes, and then flame your adc that gets killed by a 3-man towerdive because the jungler showed up. Repeat that until you lose the game.

And without exeptional teamwork Bard is the worst support there is. Nami for example has better heals, better cc, better literally everything apart from the shitty wall-gimmic. Picking this champion on my level of ranked is literally asking to lose the game by yourself.

So whoever gave the people the absolutely braindead idea to pick Bard into my team: FUCK YOU.

Even winning against that is barely fulfilling because you know you already won this. And having a literal deadweight on one's team is somethign I don't even wish to my enemies...

Then you've never met a half decent bard that mains support. It's not anyone's fault that you're paired up with people that don't know what they're doing.

Bard

Lands a Q + auto = Half the adcs health

Best team escape skill in the game, Cant chase because Q stun on wall

Good sustain in lane + speed up for chases or escapes

Ult literally allows team to position themself around enemy thats caught, Or perfect escape / Engage.

Bard is a top support. idc what anyone says

In theory he's good. But you could also argue he's squishy af, has to land a good Q in order to stun, his heals don't give as much health as Nami/Sona/Soraka, his ult is only good if you know how to use it and it's easy to mess up, and the majority of Bards roam too much for chimes. As much as I hate Bard in lower elo's, I agree he can be a great support if people play him correctly. But the problem is he's easy to mess up.

In theory every support is squishy af. And every support has to land ''something'' in order to do anything. His heals dont give as much health as namisona/soraka correct but those are sustain supports that are literally made to heal and peel. Whats a soraka going to do when its 5v2 and you're runnin? Nothin, bard can put a tunnel. Nami has to blow her ult for a 1 second delay on them running to you.

So Leona is squishy, Thresh, Naut, Blitz, Braum, Shen, Tahm, and Taric are all squishy lol? And yeah ofc everyone has to land something, but when you compare someone landing a Blitz grab compared to someone landing a good Bard Q the majority of the time people will land the Blitz Q. But also in comparison to Bard he has a silence, a knockup, and a grab.

well i didnt say melee supports are squishy but every melee support has tankiness in their kit and every ranged support is squishy ya know so using the ''bard is squishy'' argument is kinda ehhh especially when hes not supposed to be melee :p

So Akali, Kat, Diana (given build), Yasuo (how he's supposed to be), Zed, Shaco, Yi, Kah, and Kennen are tanks. Thresh is ranged and yet he isn't "squishy".

  1. Go for chimes as soon as you run out of mana, also don't leave bot unless you know the adc is gonna be fine
  2. Try as much as possible to stun only enemies with your R.
  3. When running try to put the portal but don't go in it, some people will fall for it and they will go through it :)))
  4. Try to stun the opponent everytime you can with your Q
  5. Don't let the ADC take the heals you put on ground until they are max. , unless he's really low on health
  6. Try to put your heals near the tower so a little farther so you can heal when you are retreating, also put only 2 of them, leave the last so you can insta heal your ADC.
  7. When enemy is following you through the portal as soon as they come out use Q so you can stun them
  8. Build AP so you heal more.

Rule 1 is already a massive problem. I'm too over protective and feel my ADC will never be safe.

If I'm playing bard sober I feel completely in control of the entire game start to finish. Like it's just a coreographed foregone conclusion we will win.

The Q's stun time makes people look like they're intentionally feeding in lane. The ult disrupts so many different enemy ults and combos it's bullshit (cool 4-man Yasuo ult bro). The magical journey makes setting up wards for the team happen in literally half the time it takes other supports.

Thanks for inspiring me to just zone out after work today on some bard. Labor Day weekend destroyed my feet and knees it'll be nice to kick back with my ol favorite.
