Screw divers, Rework support and their items, they need it more and so does the game
Looks like Riot is attempting to rename the support role to make it more appealing, that's...probably not going to work But you know what will? a full scale support rework on the level of the mage/adc/assassin and upcoming tank update, why is it taking so much time to get to the class that most needs it? I love having to buy the same items every game or be expected to pick between 3 champions, it's TOTALLY A FUCKING BORE and if someone who usually likes to support finds it a bore then sure as hell the rest of the people who don't ever queue support (lets say probably 95%) really don't want to touch support either
Riot have proven they can make support interesting with the recent supports added to the game including the upcoming one, it would be very beneficial if they were to rework kits of support champions who are very close ability wise that makes it hard to set them apart and balance, such as Nami/Sona/Lulu/Janna/Soraka while also giving all these champions more to do. Essentialy older enchanters are too much alike and the problem of every support rushing SS > Redemption > Locket makes them all feel the same and it doesn't seem too fun, all the supports need a special key function to justify their pick instead of "this one prevents more damage this patch" , this goes for tank supports too who need a little look at, Leona especially (if she isn't getting anything in tank patch) and Blitz/Thresh having the same issue with enchanters of being really close in kit
Supports needed this update as soon as you realized the impact a full scale rework can do to the class and certainly after Mage, ADC, assassin and upcoming tank and alleged diver update, by the same schedule we are looking at 1year+ to even pray support would get looked at and that is just harsh for the state that it is and that state it's been in the game since it began...
and
with great success. But then again, I'm also silver, what do I know?
