Why the heck are Lucian nerfs being reverted on PBE

6/6 PBE Update

The little changes on his Q and W range certainly did not lower his damage output. That is the main reason why he is broken. Making so that his passive cannot crit lowers his burst (which is insane for an adc) and maybe opens up the possiblity of other marksman being able to duel him mid or late game, which hasn't been possible ever since the release.

it seems to me like they're instead nerfing fervor? he can't get a thousand stacks on his ult like this so maybe they think that'd be enough... (it isn't)

If that's true then that's a dumb solution. That keystone affects any others that use it whereas nerfs to that piece of shit Lucian affect only him.

not as much to be honest, he's the only one who's able to stack it rapidly thanks to his ult, the rest use autoattacks to stack it and those don't have the 2 seconds cooldown.

The idea of Lucian is a be a big burst ADC, with a lot of DPS, but lacks any real range to be safely done. Hence why he was nerfed in range and not damage.

The problem before was not his damage, the problem was he was dealing the damage in a long enough range that it was safe, which was the intent of how Lucian was made to be (Short ranged adc, that needs to get into the fight to do any real damage, lacks any long range poke, and generally gets into danger zones when he does damage)

Shame his low cd, low cost dash that gets further reduced in cooldown when he uses his passive and a first buy Youmuu's Blade negate this idea.

No it doesn't, because if you dash out then your not in range to do damage anymore there fore not a threat. It'll maybe make him be able to dodge skill shots a bit better, but he's still in the threat range if he only dashes to the side.

There are a few possibilites. First, it could just be a temporary reversion. These are done all the time. Second, it could be that they think the changes from last patch hit him hard enough, and given how crippling range nerfs can be, I certainly wouldn't be surprised by that. Third, it could be that they aren't happy with the effects of these particular nerfs, and they'll choose to hit ancillary power instead of damage.
