Shen's R will barely save anyone now in time for him to even arrive to the fight on top of the fact that his ultimate has a CD on par with Karthus' undodgeable bullshit

I don't play Shen, i never played him but i do agree the poor guy needs some love. The problem is, if Riot gives him any slight buff then monkeys in pro play will spam him, and riot will nerf him even more than now.. It's the Sejuani treatment

In other words, they'll buff his minion clearing damage in a season or two and then buff his damage instead of his ult.

yeah but...if Shen won lane phase, there would be no reason not to permaban him. The point is, he wins other lanes from the top lane. And he does his job effectively.

LoL if you lose toplane vs shen, then shen isnt the problem m8, no offense. Theres neraly no good matchup for shen with one or two exceptions. Shen will also be strong if hes fed, like every other champ is, but hes not compareable to anything atm, because shen doesnt oneshot you. You have counterplay, hes easy to outplay. Aswell as hes not like yas who can go 0-5 and still oneshot ppl during the lategame. Why wouldnt he be allowwed to win a game (every other champ is too) if he gets fed in 1 out of 20 games. Most of the time you are a shield/slpitpush bot.

Quite frankly any shen buff would be bad for pro play but i dont care for pro play so. if you want to buff his ult give it a health ratio too. For solo que id like to give shen W a damage reflect for 8-14% of the damage reflected while in W. and Draven Q should disappear like into yasuo wall when it is dodged by shen W and jax E. Jinx Q no explosion (i cant remember this interaction really)

Sure, let me be more certain. Is it good to use 0.0001% of all players as base for balancing or is it better to use 70% of all players? Cause the 70% low elo would like to enjoy their games too. They are the ones saving riots income.

Riot does. Appearently pro play is more important than the game because of ticket sales and even people at home who dont watch proplay still pay for the pro play skins League's playerbase doesnt know how to protest with their wallets so riot has no need to do anything for the game they just have to jack up the pro play viewer count which will then jack up ticket sales which allows them to jack up ticket prices for the next event. the community dont help people who try to organize a boycott of pro play or the game itself.

Have to agree, never played Shen since his rework, but spectating games where he's the top laner, he seldom saves allies with his ultimate shield, and the overwhelming amount of CC/damage outweighing the tank itemization options makes him a full-blown suicide bomber assuming an ally even lives long enough for him to teleport to them.

By this logic a lot of champions are “unfair” in some form because they have an ability that “ignores” some game predetermined construct of the game “range, CC, terrain, etc.”

You pick Shen because his splitpush and team fight presence and sacrifice a decent lane against most fighters and to be easily shoved to tower all lane.

Currently his team fight presence sucks because your target usually dies before you can get there.

Range, CC, and terrain aren't anywhere close to things like GLOBAL ULTIMATES BYPASSING MAP PRESSURE nor even comparable.

Someone being out of place shouldn't have a get-out-jail-card from Shen's ultimate or Galio's ultimate or Gangplank's ultimate.

you can dodge a skillshot. This also doesn't give much map pressure since you don't teleport.

you can't prevent Galio or Shen from ulting from half way across the map.

One has more counterplay than another.

range is 200% worse than global ult. If melee champs had the same range as ranged ones with no changes because range isnt that big of a deal ranged champions lose a ton of their free poke pattern. get 500 range q from shen or 450 range W from jax youd call that unfair right.

Range has everything to do with map pressure as ranged characters are the ones who seige towers they can also roam to other lanes faster than one else because they get free movment speed that is always on with no conditions in runes and items.

jax isn't ranged and he can siege towers as fast as an ADC.

Also, ADCs can't roam as much since they are bound to a support and lack mobility.

Jax cannot seige towers as fast as any adc as jax 1 has significanly less range and this have to walk up to it thats not relivant yes it is thats time you spend walking up to a tower instead of doing damage to it. Jax has less ad in his build than adcs jax even stacked up has less attack speed than adcs average build. Idk what you think but less ad and less attack speed is slower. then also jax has to acutally leave a tower before an adc due to being melee range when its being defended but thats not tower taking thats just the weakness of being a melee champion.

A long cooldown on something really broken doesn't change the fact that the ability is REALLY broken and therefore bad design.

then we take out broken shit with short cooldowns like arhi's E and Ult Jinx's enitere kit Jhins entire kit caitlyns entire kit etc then we can get to broken on long cooldowns. Shens ult is so laugably weak he has a tp with a puny shield that only scales with a stat that he doesnt build twice the wind up time of twisted fates ult so complaining about map pressure when you can see for 3 seconds that shen is comming in and can stop the fight it comes in on the furthest person from the fight 80% of the time the adc. Tf has a more useful ult for less cooldown and lux has a stronger shield on W

I don't think it's absurdly broken, it's like similar to TF's/Ryze/TK's, only TK can move 3 champions across the map and Ryze can actually move an entire team and then some.

tahm kench can only move 2 champions across the map and due to recent nerfs he cant even do it as a chase Which killed the only reason for using his ult beside ulting back to 1 quater of your lane it takes too long and has too much warning to use to engage.

TK can put someone in his belly, press R, eat another person, and then can teleport himself and the 2 other people across the map. Thats 3 no? I see it used for a fast gank between lanes, and getting into the Dragon pit/baron pit without being detected, it's very powerful. Also if your team has multiple tanks, can be used as a flank when fighting to disrupt the backline. It's very powerful!

Ive never been able to ult while eating an ally ive always been locked out of it and ive never seen that in the mutitudes of tahm kench games ive both played with against and watched tahm kench. I could be wrong in that such an interesting interaction was never used around me

Huh I thought you could for the longest time, I think I remember seeing a clip from Kobe saying you could do that with TK. I could be wrong tho, I'm not too sure

Hold on. His ult is map pressure. Realize who is on the other team. Know the cooldowns. Get good. His minimum sheild at Lv 1 is 175 plus 135% ap. That is not really a lot. If you see a shen use his ult just back off. He loses his top just to save his adc or mid and doesnt get anything in return. Its not that hard

Well ok. I just gave you a list of downsides to shens ult and said nothing about a cooldown timer. You must really just have blind fury for shen ult. Cuz it is not that good. Its a teleport with a sheild. Its just a little bit better than teleport meta
