This Morde rework almost looks like WW rework 2.0
This rework looks rather well done from what I'm able to see. I'm not a Mordekaiser player and I haven't seen much gameplay so take this with a lot of salt, but I'm cautiously optimistic about this rework.
The main issue with Mordekaiser before was that he was too easily kited. Riot remedies this by giving him a movement speed buff, but one that he has to actually get into a fight to use.
Another big issue with Morde was the fact that he had no CC. They change this by making his E a super cool looking pull which seems dodgeable enough, but does give him some hard CC, which bruisers/juggernauts need nowadays.
Morde now looks almost like the AP bruiser that many people have wanted for so long. He fits it more than Galio or other champions ever could.
Another awesome thing that's akin to the Warwick rework is the slight lack of change on his abilities.
As compensation for him now having some mobility and hard CC, his Q and E were almost combined into one ability, which is one hard AOE smack, which is like any other default Q ability.
His W is some shielding just like he used to have, idfk
His E I already talked about.
The second big change is in his ultimate. Now I'm just as sad as the next guy to see the drago ghosts leave, but I'm pretty interested in how this ultimate is going to work. I haven't gotten to see it from the perspective of Morde's enemy, but I'd love to see how it works in different situations. I like the evolution from Jarvan Ulti > Camille Ulti > Morde Ulti
The next ulti: Champion teleports themselves and an enemy to the Howling Abyss where they have to fight a 1v1 from level one, regular 1v1 style, first to kill the nexus wins. If the game ends while this 1v1 ulti goes on, both players lose LP.
It's foolproof.
