Can we talk about Taric for a sec

So, a while ago Sona and Soraka received some pretty big reworks. I'm not really sure if Taric should be reworked as well, but I would like to see him played more. Perhaps a few QOL buffs for our favorite gem knight are in order. Perhaps giving him scaling magic resist, or letting his passive and 'w' scale with magic resist slightly. In fact, I think it should scale with his BONUS armor stats. Whatever type of armor Taric builds, whether it's armor or magic resist, his passive and his 'w' should scale slightly with it. Perhaps this is the wrong way to change him, but I think if he benefited from building magic resist in some way it would really help him as a support. Anyways, what do you think about Taric? Is he too strong, too weak, or just average? Does he need any changes?

I've been thinking this too...hes kind of lackluster and doesn't off too much that some other champion can't do better. I think the only argument for his uniqueness could be a massive heal from a tank. honestly his niche seems like he is a great (perhaps not even the best) pick against a full or heavy AD comp. His ult is really lackluster, and I think he could be in a great spot if they buffed his E and completely reworked his ult. His passive is alright, but really only becomes effective when he has like 3-4+ items and max cdr. Then it is actually pretty badass.

-however, the utility someone like nami offers on top of her heal which rivals taric's makes her clearly a better pick. -alistar is just as tanky, with a smaller heal, but much greater CC and engage/disengage power. -braum is tank(ier?) with better disengage. -etc, etc.

lastly, he has a targeted stun which is pretty cool and nice to have against crap like kallista or ekko or katarina. However, the projectile speed seems quite slow to supposedly be a counter to divey champs like kat, riven, talon, etc. (or maybe that just has to do with how quickly kat can full combo, but i digress..)

I think he has less of a clearly defined niche or role/identity than most other supports. taric needs some love for sure

side note: I think pink taric might have even been the first skin i ever bought when i was a total noob. I haven't really touched him since I've become familiar with all the champs :/ buff taric and make the rift even more fabulous :D
