Champ Diversity (again) - Is it driving viewership down?

I don't know about others but I get excited when my mains champs get played - such as Yorick, Nasus... I feel less invested when the same champs are played all the time. I know its a "League-thing" that pros only pick according to the meta.

Question is- has this affected viewership?

Right now I'm seeing a Rocket League championship has more viewers on Twitch than LCS.

2nd Question - Can the balance team really improve Champ Diversity? Or is it more on the other aspects/systems of LoL - map/offline/design ?
