LCS is a DIFFERENT GAME

Now I know there are a lot of posts like this but there is something to this that I haven't heard yet.

Many people complain about how the LCS gets special attention and has changes based on the performances there. There are issues that have plagued normal queue for ages, but don't affect professional play. The reason is this: LCS is an entirely different game. LCS is played so differently than any other LoL games that happen. There is constant roaming from level one. The LCS meta has double jungling with the top laner taking a ride with the jungler for experience and fast clearing. Then there are triple lanes and lane swaps to the point where IT IS COMMON TO HAVE FIRST TURRET DOWN IN FIVE MINUTES ON BOTH TEAMS. These are some of the most major changes from other places of LoL games.

So Riot. Acknowledge that this is how the game is and try to look at some normal/soloQ games for balance changes. Because sure junglers can't spend the whole game farming up their devourer in LCS, but they sure as hell can in soloQ and lower ranked 5s. And that's just one example.

its actually the same game, its just that you have 5 players actively working together as opposed to the random violence that is solo queue.

Put yourself in Riots shoes. Why would they balance around pubs? The LCS is the highest level of play this game has to offer. If you are a game designer you are going to look at the highest level of play to determine how your going to balance the game. Malzahar for instance owns in pubs, but is never played in the LCS. Is he balanced? Many say hes op, but in reality he is balanced. He is easily countered if you have 1 competent person on your team to cancel his ult, or just burst him down when he ults.

Even in Dota 2 for example. Icefrog the lead dev for that game balances ONLY on pro games. He even asks the pros for balancing advice, and Dota 2 is arguably considered the most balanced MOBA out their right now. Seriously if you actually sit down, and think about it it only makes sense to really balance around the HIGHEST level of play.

This, but the pro scene should be an inspiration to play better. Which is why we shouldn't make too many exceptions just for the lower Elo's (though they do happen.) People at lower Elo's should take note of champions, build paths, plays made, and use it as an example to help them get better.
