How about we make this upgrade into a new item that is exactly the same thing as hexdrinker but for ap. Why are we forced to buy zhonias. Also I'm not even worried about rammus or malphite abusing it because that will make them that much more weaker to ap champions who fight them due to no health on the item.

Even after nerfing Tank Ekko via his base damages, an influx of Hybrid AP/defense itemization, could bring us right back to where Tank ekko left off. (Probably true for a couple of other champs as well)
So if we increase the number of available Hybrid itemization, we would have to accept the presence of AP Bruisers and Juggernauts. Something I'm not sure the community is prepared for.

If it gives around 50-60 ap its much less than something a assasin or mage would want. there damage would still be up there but it would be lower than that of a mage. i personally think that ap bruisers would be healthy for the game considering there are ad bruisers who are unhealthy cough darius
