Annie, the broken ass champion with no counterplay.

Lmao Get Mooned··4 votes·1,016 views

Why the fuck is riot rewarding players for playing all point and click champions that take no skill at all to play? Annie has no counter play because she has an instant cast AOE stun and at least 600 damage without building any ap. It's impossible to win against annie with any champion because she'll just pop ult, stun you, and use her other spells. Just like that you're dead. Think you can 3v1 her? WRONG! She'll just pop ult and use her spells to kill all of you. The AOE stun wouldn't be that big of a deal if it wasn't TWO FUCKING SECONDS. That's right, AOE 2 SECOND STUN and all you have to do is press R which cant be counterplayed because it's an instant cast. If you think this champion isn't broken, you need to go get mentally evaluated, cause something is clearly wrong with your logic and reasoning ability.

cleanse qss any champion/item that gives you a spell shield don't all group up so she can get a 5 man ult try not to engage if you see her stun is up

Annie is fine.you just don't know how to play against her

You're bronze aren't you? If she's so OP, why don't you ride her to masters?

Except for not staying grouped to avoid getting group-telefragged.

If I'm against an Annie or another mid laner with good CC I just run cleanse and it completely shuts them down.

Cleanse does not shut down the damage they did to your health bar.

Obviously but if you are quick on the cleanse then you can trade back on the annie and kill her. Annie's entire kit relies on her getting a good stun so that she can kill you before you can kill her. Not only that but a lot of players don't check what summoners you have so you can bait some players into bad engages.

Although i didnt make the post. The counterplay im talking about is before anything starts. You cant ''dodge'' annie. You cant ''sidestep'' You cant ''predict''. Annies ult will always get you no matter what. Thats the counterplay im talking about. It does lack counterplay. Thats why people hate annie so much is because if shes there its happening theres no iffs ands or but about it.

And as for you ''cleansing then you can trade back'' Yes you trade back while tibbers is hitting you great idea. +1

You're right, annie's stun does lack counterplay. It doesn't mean it's impossible to beat annie in lane which is what the OP said.

There are ways the play around annie's stun though. If there wasn't then she would be must pick/ban at high elo. My favorite way it's to hard push the lane when she has her stun up and force her to use her spells to clear the wave or lose a bunch of cs to the tower. When the wave resets she usually won't immediately have her stun up which gives you a window where you can trade with her. Once you have a health advantage you can continue to bully her with the same strat and if she tries to all in that's when you pop cleanse.

Yeah Tibbers hurts but it's sustained DPS not burst. I can't think of any mid laner that can't abuse annie or kill her if you negate her stun.

Well my point was to say that Annies stun lacks counterplay im not sure what OP said but you have to understand why some people are frustrated at annie in general. Atleast i can sidestep ahris charm you know?

Yeah but there's tons of abilities like that in league (zed ult, skarner ult, pantheon stun, syndra ult, akali ult, diana ult, etc, etc, etc.) Doesn't mean they aren't balanced in context of the champion or that they're impossible to work around. Just because something is point and click doesn't mean it's broken.

I agree with some. Skarner requires to be in your face.. Dianas ult wont kill you itself you have to eat the whole combo from Diana and you arent necessarily stunned while dying unlike annie.

Zeds ult doesnt kill you. Its what he does after he ults that kills you.

Syndras ult i can understand why you said that. But a lot of the stuff you mentioned can be countered in some way. Annies counterplay is ''Dont be there''

I've got a few things to refute your statement about it being impossible to win against Annie..

Leblanc Talon Diana Galio item 3102

Uh... unless you're really quick with LB, you're going to lose that lane so hard. Similar situation with Talon. Early on, if Annie is smart, she will zone talon out along with Diana. On the other hand, if Diana can land skill shots, she will win the lane. At most, those are skill match ups.

Only one I agree with is Galio.

She's relatively low ranged like Ryze. It's not hard to avoid her range. Any long range mid champ can beat her with ease if you know how to land skill shots.

Annie has lots of counters, she is extremely vunerable to tanks. I found DariusDarius to be a fucking hilarious counter to annie

Ganks? You mean when someone goes in and she smashes her forehead on the R key ? ''Enemy double kill''

Uh he said "tanks". Not "ganks". Although in that respect, any champion is vulnerable to ganks. Just gotta make sure you're not dumb while doing it.

During the laning phase, all it takes is someone with a bit of range and annie can't do much. Her abilities, while strong are all close range with her ult having the longest reach. During mid to late, just don't group up and she won't be able to burst you down. She might get one, but her cooldowns are long enough and she burns through her mana with 2 - 3 rotations.

She's strong, but certainly not op.

To simply dismiss the argument with a Cleanse shuts Annie down isn't a valid argument. It helps at times but in no way does it shut her down completely. Annie can get another stun ready far far more quickly than cleanse comes off of cool down. And she doesn't have to take any risk while doing so. She can run around behind her minions and charge it up with E and W or Q a minion from range. Heck. She can be out of range entirely and use W and E to get to the spell count. And she still has a nearly guaranteed kill any time cleanse is down. And good luck trading with her if Tibbers is on the field. If cleanse was sufficient to stop annie, she wouldn't be 11th out of 47 mid lane champs in win rate.
