Many people say he suck So bad Horrible Disappointment
But honestly that champ seems to be so stupid broken in the right hands imo, I have played him a few time actually do stupid dmg but hard to use him

I think he's good, but it feels like he's a mage with only three abilities (his ult is wayyyyyyyyyyyyy inconsistent for me whenever I play him, so I almost never use it.)
i played some top lane ryze some days ago, and i fought against a 
, i bursted her to 50% hp with just one good e, q, w, q, e combo. I only had a tear. We were both level 7, she had a cowl, pretty safe to say he's doing fine in terms of damage.
Ryze has always been stupid broken in some situations, i think people are just sad that he can no longer melt an entire team in 3 seconds, if said team is no idea how his worked back then.
Q E Q W Q > pause for .75 seconds > E Q is some pretty stupid burst damage, though.
he's good its just tricky to team fight with new ryze compared to old ryze were u just pressed r and spammed all your buttons

and other reworks it will probably take time for people to realize the potential. I mean you already realize it, and that's great, but sometimes people only look at what happens in big tournaments. I don't know. Or maybe it does need some love. I dunno. It doesn't seem bad to me, but I played it like 2 times vs bots.
