I am so sick of people saying "It's your fault for losing, you can carry if you're good enough"

Yeah, you can, but what happens when

Your top lane goes 0/8 before 14 minutes?

Teemo support no sightstone?

Afk?

Your support not exhausting in a fight that costs you the 2v2, and ends up snowballing the lane against you?

Your jungle invading when he shouldn't have on the other side of the map from where you are and dying to a lane, giving double buffs?

Your jungle farms the first 20 minutes and creates no map pressure for your team, resulting in there jungle to get there team ahead?

I cannot control what other people do, and I can't help them if they aren't next to me.

It isn't my fault if my support doesn't exhaust during a fight and we lose a fight, I can't push the button for her, and I obviously can't type "EXHAUST EXHAUST EXHAUST EXHAUST" While I'm in the middle of a fight.

Elo hell doesn't exist, bad teams exist, and it sucks when you're on a losing streak of purely bad teams and outcomes, 90% of which you can't control.

more then a few people in plat and diamond have made posts about this issue and that in bronze silver and low gold its basically a toss up lottery.

Riot needs to change the placement system for brand new accounts and instead of putting them all in silver 5 just don't do any placements and put them straight into b5.

which would be totally fair since this is supposed to be a ladder system you put people at the bottom

im personally sick and tired of hearing that the average rank of people is silver including unranked people, no its not normal games are a complete fukfest at times were no one cares what you do, who you play, or what you build.

ranked even in b5 there is at least a semblance of people trying to actually win. (even though the way they play can look like inting to a veterans eye)

Putting everyone that starts ranked into b5 makes absolutely no sense, I'll never understand this argument. Even after some unlucky placements, I was never bad enough to be placed in bronze 5. Assuming players are at the exact middle mark, the exact average which is s5-s4 makes a lot more sense than assuming unranked players are in the bottom 8% of all players. Think of it like stairs in a building, where s5/s4 is ground level, and bronze is sub levels if you want to make an analogy with starting at the bottom.

If you're bad enough to be b5, you'll get there pretty quickly. If you're not, then you won't. The current placement system is fine for the most part.

it was Def easier to 1 man carry a team in the past. I guess better players could make the argument, they would know how to keep their top laner from feeding so hard, or know how to make sm1 on the other team feed just as hard...

I'm pretty sure the saying "It's your fault for losing, you can carry if you're good enough" mainly applies to bronze/silver so uh yeah.

You can't win all games.

People who say that are not wrong, it's just that you can currently solo carry a team and still lose. It all depends on why you play ranked really. If you play to improve your rank you're going to have a really bad time at the lower ranks, where as if you play for self improvement focusing on learning to carry is winning in and of itself, and will eventually lead you to higher ranks.

To put it simply focus on yourself if you want to climb, rather than all the nonsense that makes you lose individual games.

It's a 5v5 game, of course you can't control everything that happens.
