Pearl of the Serpent Shore item 1058 + item 1004 + item 1027 + item 1052 + 1140 Gold = 3250 Gold +100 Ability Power +450 Mana +75% Base Mana Regen. UNIQUE Passive- Wave Splash: Whenever this champion deals spell damage, a wave will pulse from the unit that is damaged, dealing damage to enemies around the target based on the spell. Single Target: 25 + 20% of the ability's damage Area of Effect: 10 + 7% of the ability's damage Damage Over Time: 10 + 25% of the ability's damage Pet Damage: 15 + 10% of the ability's damage

(This item is 97.8% gold efficient without the passive, making the passive need to be worth 70 gold for the item to be gold efficient)

Void Stone Shield item 3191 + item 1029 + item 1026 + 400 Gold = 2750 Gold +75 Ability Power +60 Armor UNIQUE Passive- Power Conversion: This champion gains 5 ability power for 7 seconds every time they take physical damage, stacking up to 25 ability power. UNIQUE Active- Void's Revenge: Consume all charges from this item to gain a 100 + 16 (+2 per level) per charge physical damage shield for the next 5 seconds. (90 second cool down)

Whenever you damage an enemy champion, the lesser spirit will become more volatile and grow slightly in size. This can happen up to ten times. UNIQUE Active- Quicksilver: Remove all crowd control effects and debuffs from this champion. When this is used, the storm dragon following you will unleash all it's power into the lantern's holder, causing them to gain 2% cool down reduction and increase their cool down reduction limit by 1% for every stack of power the storm dragon has built. This lasts for the next 5.5 seconds. This cannot be cast if there is not any crowd control effects or debuffs on this champion. The cool down of this effect is increased by 3 seconds for every stack of power consumed from the storm dragon. (90 second cool down)

(This item is 82.5% gold efficient without the passive and active, meaning the passive and active must be worth 662.25 gold for this item to be gold efficient)

I made these items based on what I have seen others have wanted for Mages, being more choices for CDR and armor. I also added a major Mana Regeneration item that doesn't also have 20% CDR, instead focusing on more AP. What are you guy's opinions on these items? Good or bad?

To note on Pearl, the % ability damage is based on the damage dealt by that tick of damage. Basically, the DoT conversion is dealig 25% of the damage that the most recent tick of damage did, not the total DoT damage.

The first one is unnecessary for 2 reasons:

Mages dont need mana regen, but mana.

Its a weaker version of item 3285 as it doesnt grant MS.

the second seems ok, but perhaps should give less armor.

about the 3rd item, i automatically like anything that is built from " item 3108+item 3113 "

I can see and agree with most of your points EXCEPT for the one talking about Pearl being a weaker Luden's for a couple reasons.

Pearl scales with the ability's damage compared to Luden's flat amount AND isn't charge based and doesn't have a target limit. For example, it makes Veigar's ultimate deal 20% of it's damage to nearby enemies, compared to Luden's 100 (+15% AP). That could be incredibly high since Veigar's ultimate can deal over 1000 damage, dealing 225 damage to nearby enemies if it deals 1000 damage exactly. This can also stack with Luden's since Luden's applies spell effects as well. On AoE spells it will also proc multiple times, meaning a Ziggs Q can, if it hits 5 targets, have it's damage increased by ~35%. Finally, this makes those powerful DoT's like Brand and Swain deal consistent AoE damage, making targets affected become mobile area denial.

I can understand the rest of the complaints though. Im afraid giving Pearl mana might get into Seraph's space of want so to speak however.

Luden's DOES scale with AP. The point is that they overlap, conceptually that item makes no sense as it doesn't kill any unsolved need.

It does add more options however. Such overlaps happen often in the item system with minor changes being in so that some champions can be more powerful.

I consider it the Rapid Firecannon to Stattik Shiv going on. This item gives mana regeneration instead of movement speed and is more for Sustained Magic DPS rather than Luden's Burst Magic want.

item 3748 item 3074 Very similar items that serve the same purpose, just for different champion classes. Pearl would be like this where Sustained DPS characters would want Pearl over Luden's. Burst DPS would want Luden's over Pearl since it provides more flat damage and movement speed helps a lot when getting off burst. Currently, sustained DPS casters have little itemization compared to their burst counterparts. Their burst counterparts often borrow from the sustained DPS magic dealers without sustained DPS really getting any of the burst's items. This is a problem that should be solved. This is all not mentioning that Luden's actually applies to the target the spell hits whereas Pearl only applies to units around the target.

Im also aware Luden's scales with AP, but this item scales particularly with the ability's damage whereas Luden's will always deal the same amount no matter what spell is cast unless they differ in how the spell is (AoE, Single Target).

Miserycorde item 3114 + item 1011 + item 2015 +250g = 2500g 100% Mana regen 400 Health 15% Attack speed Passive: Moving and Attacking gives stacks of Impair Unique Passive- Impair: When Impair is fully stacked, next ability that hits an enemy champions reduces 25 Attack damage and 35 Ability power that lasts for 5 seconds.

Be careful going into items that reduce the enemy's stats. Also, if this item is intended for Mages, be sure to be careful of what stats it provides. Since this provides little AP, Supports would likely want this over a Mage. Not a bad thing, just saying if this is intended to be a Mage item. Anyways, overall a decent item. What I would do is reduce the base amount of that AD and AP reduction and make it scale per level.

Hyperborean item 3191 + item 3191 +600g = 3000g 60 Armor 40 Ability power Unique Passive- Snap freeze: Grants a frozen aura that when an enemy hits you with a basic attack, A quick blast of Ice will encircle you which ignores the damage from that basic attack and give you 50 armor that lasts 3 seconds. 45 second cooldown.

A note that Seeker's Armguard in total, with passive, gives 35 ability power and 45 armor. So buying two of them and then buying this item would reduce your AP. The minimum stats this item should give is 70 AP and 90 Armor. Snap Freeze is interesting. It is a huge counter to those "One Attack Wonders" like Quinn, Caitlyn, Draven, and Jhin. It's a good item overall, it's just the stats are off.

Hemstone Goblet item 3028 + item 3041 + 600g = 3000g 40 ability power 40 magic resist 100% Mana regen 200 Mana Unique Passive- Mana font: Restores 2% of missing mana every 5 seconds. Unique Passive- Divine surge: Every kills and assists restores Health in over of 5 seconds (20% of your maximum health + 30% of maximum ability power)

A note that Mejai's will be losing it's passive when going into this item. Just saying. Anyways, the Divine Surge passive is incredibly powerful. Even a single person dying on the enemy team could cause this item's user to turn the fight around due to their boosted health. It's weak stats overall make up for this, so it's a balanced item overall. It's very, very powerful on certain champions however that can chain kills, such as Swain , Karthus , and Velkoz . It also might make Athene's even worse than it currently is.

Just made those up in 10 minutes. I didn't even check the stats on some of the items except gold. I appreciate the input. Its hard think of support items that wouldn't be exploited by solo lanes.

also I edited it based on your response.
