what if thornmail could damage turrets?

would give melee champs finally some sort of way to siege a turret and get some damage in. even if its at the cost of a few hitpoints.

I want to see galio with spirit visage and thornmail healing off of and destroying inhibitor turrets at the same time

they do. but in a siege scenario with enough waveclear on the enemy team, they mostly wont do anything to the turret. its one of the reasons you need an adc in every single game, or your chances of winning are decreasing drastically. because even if you can win fights, youre going to have problems sieging and taking turrets, when you have to get up close under the tower.

ranged champions dont have to bring themselves into such a vulnerable position to get damage on a turret.

They also have the threat of diving if it is a 5v4, 4v3, etc. This can let them zone the enemy team and take the turret.

the problem is, that ad carries have basically the monopoly on the top spot for champion damage and the ability to siege turrets. which makes them mandatory every single game, like no other class. well. there are many that argue no team can exist without a support. but thats just the adc needs someone to hold his hand.

thinl about it. every other class is interchangable. you can play a game without a bruiser if you substitute him for a tank, mage, or assassin. the same is true for all the other classes. the only thing that remains a constant since season 1 is ad carry + support bot lanes.

this would be one way to give melee champions a way to siege turrets better by midgame, even without an adc. you might take a few hits, but youre geting some damage on a turret from a distance.

I feel as though thornmail should have an active similar to blademail. It would be a nice counter to all in toxic champs like Fizz Zed Annie Ahri Nidalee
