Contrary to what some believe, giving Ori an indicator for when her ball returns would make her OP

Yes, I realize it sounds crazy "it's not a numbers buff, I just know how far my Lee Sin or Jarvan can go so that I can outplay the enemy team with an RW after pressing E on them! It can't hurt the game that badly!" but this couldn't be farther from the truth.

First off, like Anivia, Orianna is a zone control mage. She's meant to keep people out of a certain area by threatening them with damage or CC, which she does with both. Similar to Anivia, Orianna's actual abilities are pretty short-range, but she can perform most of her kit from a long range after setting up an initial placement. Orianna players currently cannot accurately zone from maximum range since since you either need a modded client or a lot of games under your belt to know the range. While I can understand where Riot would be coming from if they wanted anybody who understood the concept of zoning to be able to do it from a good range by adding the indicator, but Orianna is not balanced around her ability to zone from maximum range, and although I've only gone against an Ori who's done this once (they were probably modding client since it was in like plat but I digress), it is extremely frustrating to not be able to walk up to a turret for fear of being bursted by somebody that is off of your screen. If they were to give the average Ori player the ability to solo zone, then she would be oppressively powerful because you'd be unable to hit her from the other side of the screen and you'd have difficulty walking up a lane since she could drop an RW to utliity you for a large chunk of your health. She'd actually need numbers nerfs for this kind of change because she'd be too easy to play, and while it does sound frustrating to a few people that a champion needs to be prevented from being too easy to keep them at a certain power level, it is completely true since a champion is generally more reliable if they're easier. She'd be the swiss army knife of mid lane, and would outclass a lot of champions.

What are you even arguing? You don't address your title anywhere in the post, and I've tried reading this wall of text twice. Might I suggest paragraphs?

Basically, he's saying that no one knows the max range of the ball unless that person is pro or has it modded. He is saying that the max range and her range don't really work well together or something like that. And, he's saying that if there was an indicator for the max range of that ball, most oriannas would be op because they'd improve greatly at zoning. Something like that.

So she's only allowed to be powerful because she's a pain in the ass to play? That's stupid logic. New players will have trouble using her, and pros wont be bothered at all. This results in a massive range in power that Riot has to try and account for.

I'm no pro and I don't have a modded client but I find it pretty easy to tell what the max range of the ball is as she is right now.
