PSA: One champion being imbalanced doesn't mean ohers can't be as well

Been seeing a lot of smokescreen arguments where people try to deflect attention to other less popular champs. It goes something along the lines of this:

Player 1: I think Ivern is very overtuned right now

Player 2: But look at Shaco. He's broken why aren't you complaining about him?! Why are we even talking about Ivern when Shaco exists?!

Player 1: Janna is a bit on the strong side right now

Player 2: Who cares about Janna? Look at Lulu's 30% playrate!

Just because one champ may or may not be an issue does NOT mean other champs cannot be an issue as well. These smokescreen distraction straw man arguments are getting old

I didn't say anything about them being OP. I was referencing the fact that people use champs to smokescreen discussions on others

This is a fucking retarded argument. Whataboutism is one thing, but what you were doing was complaining about a champ in a vacuum with zero frame of reference. That's not okay in a game where balance IS relevance and there IS measurable creep of that relative value. That's not just speculation, that's Riot policy.

Secondly, this game does have a schedule, and with that schedule comes priorities. If you're going to propose changes to a champ that you feel is too strong, you're going to have to make a pretty good argument as to why it needs to be a priority over more grievous offenders. You can't do that without 1:1 comparison. That's not smokescreening.

What? No it wasn't. I clearly listed out quite a few popular champions, common builds, costs, relative winrates, and proposed multiple issues that may be occuring and solutions.

My points are more thought out than just calling people retarded, unlike yourself.

You havent even made an argument. All you've done is say I'm "complaining about him in a vacuum" when I have the proof I'm not.

I'm not sure where you're getting 3 from, but I've only made 2 threads referencing Ivern. One directly and this one indirectly.

In some cases it makes sense if a stat (such as how flat armor penetration and its supposed to be a nerf, lethality) ended up getting ridiculous, mainly thanks to several things

-The 'flat armor pen is still partially present. -The 'out of combat flat move speed adds a indirect buff to marksman to quickly return to lane a bit faster, small but still puts a effect on it, especially to grant AD assassins and particular marksman, which just the few second difference combined with a 'armor shred' allows them to easily force a enemy to back and even if they backed at the same time, they will return to the lane faster and in turn, be able to return to CS grabbing sooner. -Lack of a flexible counter without a proper champion or even at the very least, able to pick up a item even if its a cheap item 1029 and not result in straggling behind in damage, hell theoreticaly, Ezreal 's blue build should let him give a good middle finger against lethality ADC builds since he always builds item 3025 , an item perfect for countering lethality, grants good CD and even mana to out sustain the burst spam that lethality ADC builds seem to rely on.

This kind of applies to the semi-old 'tank meta' because of a lack of 'workable' counters to the easiness that builds like 1 damage, full tank builds end up making a mockery of ADCs and fighters at times, still do with BS like Hecarim and LeeSin .
