Stop using "skill cap" as an argument if you're going to quote Plat+ data

You can kick and scream all you want but Plat+ players are the top 10% of players. You cant say champ shouldnt have a 50% winrate "because they're supposed require skill" then quote statistics from the people who (on average) are going to have better mechanics and more experience than literally 90% of the entire playerbase. How does that make any sense? If you were talking about the most extreme skill floor/ceiling champs like Azir or something then fine, Plat players arent good enough to use them. But stop using it on champs like Zed Leblanc LeeSin Camille Elise Vayne etc etc that actually do require decent mechanics.

The typical argument looks like this. "Lee Sin shouldnt have a 50% WR because he has a high skill cap. (Proceeds to quote op.gg info)". So your argument is that they require skill and your proof is that they do mediocre among the most skilled sample of players? U w0t? How does that make any sense what-so-ever?

What is your point? That these champions should be buffed or? I really don't get it. Lee and Zed do need some buffs but LB certainly does not and neither does camile.

Higher skill champ champions tend to be "alright" balance-wise at about 48% general win rate, from what I've seen. Not 50%, but it's not grotesquely low.

The thing to remember is that people fucking up on the champ when they don't main the champ will drag the general win rate down. Win rate among mains should still measure up to 55% to 58%

The only way for winrates to mean anything, would be if we only looked at people who main the champ and have a crap ton of games on them. 1 timers losing their first and only ranked game witha champ brings it down.

Champions have curves even in plat+. Being plat+ doesn't get you experience with a champion you haven't played.

literally 90% of plat players play like an upgraded bronze player. They start inting the second they get First blooded and give up on the entire game because they died once. For all the talk about plat players being better than gold silver or bronze, They sure as hell play like the ladder.

what does plat mmr have to do with a champions skill cap?

just because you make it to plat or past it on a certain champion doesnt magically give you a guarantee to fully master any champion when you touch him for the first time.

do you actually think its perfect mechanics that get people to plat and diamond? its mostly just strategic game knowledge.

Zed doesn't require any mechanical skill whatsoever.

Their total winrate averaged from all ranks should be low tho

47% is a good spot for Lee
