Vladimir vs Jayce Matchup

Just to make things clear. Vladimir would be me, Jayce, another player. Also not a QQ thread.

Without going too into detail, you can probably guess why I posted this. During the 1 v 1 matchup, I lost my lane and later the game with one of the worst KDA’s I’ve ever received: 1/10/10. While I don’t mind losing to a better opponent, I definitely want to improve and do better the second time I fight another Jayce.

That’s not to say mistakes weren’t made. I underestimated his chase potential granted by his passive:hextech capacitor and acceleration gate(ability). I also tried to trade damage when I was closer to his tower than mine and blew away my cooldowns while his were up.

In short, I got bursted down once he hit level 3 and allowed him to snowball from there. Contributing to me and my team’s loss(His KDA was 16/4/8).

P.S This was top lane.

Coming from the best vlad in the USA for 2014: New vlad sucks. Get used to it. Rito flattened him to pave the way for removing spellvamp from the game.

Simply put if you play vlad, expect to often feed, and always be less useful than if you had picked any champ besides vlad. Try out AP leona and you'll realize there is no meta for vladimir right now.

If you want a tip though: Pooling while jayce is mid-jump will cause him to completely miss his jump attack and fail to slow you. Also he will land on your pool and be slowed. It's the best way to bait jayce/pantheon/jax while your jungler appears for a gank. Otherwise expect to be underwhelming as you play.
