Why does malphite get a shield just because a few seconds passed where he didn't take damage? why does gangplank get extra silver coin items to buy? why does master yi's passive let him get basically 2 autos off at the same time? why does wukong's passive give him bonus resistances?

Fauxfire2 votes

Wait.... what is Wukong's passive?

WukongMain3 votes

he gains 4/6/8 Armor and magic resist per enemy champion nearby. i believe it changes same time as ulti becomes available 6/11/16. (those are the levels right? xD)

so thing about that.. 5v5. thats 20/30/40 Armor and magic resist. depending on the level the 5v5 happened.

Which is also why Wukong tends to lean more towards item's like black cleaver that give HP. since HP scales well with his passive.

I never thought about the fact I never knew Wukong's passive, but then again I couldn't even tell you the names of most of my main's abilities.

WukongMain2 votes

it's a pretty strong passive :D. Shyvanna's passive is quite similar.

but is that shield yasuo gets so op in comparison to a possible 40 permanent armor and magic resist wukong gets? xD.

His shield is actually fairly easy to counter. For the most part he's mid so in most cases unless your Zed, Kat, Akali, or another yasuo, you can kill his shield with just an AA if your a ranged mage.

Why does Morgana's passive give spell vamp when it was removed from items?

Most champions don't have to do anything to use their passive, as passives tend to be pretty passive. Guess Riot wanted to make Yasou work for his.

Also: Yasou's entire kit is very much set up around "never stop moving" as his playstyle and means of survival, and his passive tells everyone "Yasou should never stop moving".

It's part of his lore as a wanderer.

The fact that he gets that by itself isn't bad. The fact that he also gets free double crit on top of that is what is BS, lol.

Why does he get both?

japan hate acc3 votes

Becuase the crit damage is reduced, and it is his main damage output. Fiora has her true damage, Yasuo has his slightly-watered down crits. His shield isn't that bad at all, either. It is just an annoyance at most.

So?

and it is his main damage output.

You mean besides the 50% Armor reduction when he ults?

Fiora has her true damage,

For as oppresive and BS as she is, Fiora at least has the proc the mark on you to do it. Yasuo just gets free stats and effective HP for buying crit and walking.

Yasuo has his slightly-watered down crits.

(its take free double crit for 10 percent weaker crits any way tyvm.

His shield isn't that bad at all, either. It is just an annoyance at most.

Its op as fuck in lane because it makes trading with him impossible. his lane pressure with all his low CDs , mobility and Tornados from his Q are oppressive as is, but next you can't even trade with him properly because he gets a shield for walking?

lol auto him befor u engage

Yasuo shouldn't have to ult someone to output damage every time. That's stupid.

And his passive can just be dispelled with one auto. Surely you can auto-attack him before going in. Honestly, it isn't that hard at all to dodge his tornadoes, unless we uses an animation cancel. IF they go in for the circular knockup, it's pretty easy to tell when they're going in. So I don't think he's oppressive at all honestly.

Who the hell said that?

ITT, every champion not named Yasuo is ranged. Also, he will just Windwall or turn to E you.

Honestly, it isn't that hard at all to dodge his tornadoes, unless we uses an animation cancel.

It doens't matter if they are or not. When Lux, ori, Talon, Diana, Azir, Xerath, Ziggs harass you, it costs them mana. Yasuo has no resources and stupidly short CDs. Even Fiora has recources.

I didn't ask for a Yasuo 101. I know how to lane against them. The fact you are doing this makes me think you're a Yasuo player. :/ Being beatable isn't the same thing as being balanced or not being over tuned.

Woa.. don't speak for my Orianna baby. I main her and I have zero trouble against a Yasuo. I can't say for the rest, but yea. I don't normally use Orianna for Yasuo though. Lissandra is best against him.

I bolded it for you. You're the one who wrote it so I figured you'd know.

Oh i see it now.

That said, i never said it was hard to play any of those champs, let alone Ori against Yasuo. Ori is actually my go-to pick next to Swain for the fucker.

pantheon has it on his abillities

Ralanr1 votes

Pantheon's shield does nothing against poke unless it's an AA.

ReZisT Lust1 votes

dude not that passive his CRIT passive

Ralanr1 votes

Oh.

It's only on targets below 15% health though. Not as crazy as Trynd or Yas crit passives.

ReZisT Lust1 votes

those 2 dont have a stun and yas has to build it

Ralanr1 votes

Interesting thing about Pantheon's stun: hit him with displacement CC while the animation plays and it'll cancel it.

Nothing tilts a Pantheon more than having his stun stopped by a Cho'gath knock up.

Plus Pantheon isn't supposed to build crit anyway.

I'm not saying Pantheon doesn't have problems. I honestly think he needs a full VGU.

Because one passive wasn't good enough for him.

Volibear or DrMundo laugh at your pitiful flow shield.

item 3068 pops that thing so damn fast, then you just maul his face in.

Warhawk3731 votes

WHAT? Your worried about YASUO's shield?! lol, have you played against a Malzahar recently, that is the most op shield in the game, pretty much makes him immune to supports like thresh and blitz, makes him immune to any trade from TF, it is the most op cancer in the game, the only way to kill him is to have 2 people with cc fight him, and even then he can just block the first set of cc while he silences you then run away or ult the one that hasn't attacked yet while a teammate comes up to finish off the other one.

TheOvermind1 votes

Basically yasuo a heavily trained swordsman, has reached a state of mental alertness that makes him combat ready for any ambushes in his lonely wanders. This is translated in game with his shield, where it will block up to 500 dmg late game when he is traveling and give him a chance to retaliate against his ambusher. I personally like it.
