Request from a Skarner player:

Im not gonna ask for perma slow... Honestly, I like his new playstyle.

My request: Can we FINALLY see some real mana fixes on this guy? I mean seriously, his damage on all of his abilities, save his Ultimate, have been hit so hard. Something like:

Q: 18 at all ranks

W: 40/45/50/55/60

E: 30/35/40/45/50 (not worth more than 35-40 ever in my opinion)

R: 100 at all ranks. (Why hasn't this happened yet? So many others have)

Due to his low low low damage, Skarner has to have a prolonged engagement to be dangerous. This is fine, except that his mana costs limit his ability to be in a prolonged engagement, unless he buys a major mana item.

Skarner already needs a TON of stats, has no ratios outside of ult and Shield, and is VERY item dependent. He also has no instant gap closer, no natural heals, and is extremely vulnerable to kiting. Don't you think we could loosen the reigns on the mana issues a bit? It would go a long way to making him viable in lane, and not just jungle were he can have a spirit item. Would also make Red starts in jungle a less scary option.

A simple request.

Forever a Skarner fan

I don't know how you have mana problems with him. I only sometimes have a little bit mana problems early game when the first blue buff wears off, but not enough to need much more. Maybe use E less in long skirmishes?? Cause E is what really eats up all your mana in team fights. and when I had 100 or 200 mana left and still in the jungle, I only use Q and W. Can usually get 2 or 3 more camps just with that. Then recall, buy, and so on.

Reread, the mana problems come when you are out of jungle, either playing him in lane, or covering, and without blue buff. Without a serious mana item, you are good for one good scrap. I like to play Skarner in lane AND jungle. Also, Skarner is pretty easy to invade. If the enemy is taking your blue buff constantly (happens a lot in solo que, no coordination or help a lot of times) You can't even farm your jungle effectively until you have spirit stone.

I like options, mana fixes would give me the option to play top lane more reliably, and would make red buff starts a decent option for jungling. It would also make losing your blue buff early not so crippling. It would also be easier for me to share my blue buff with my AP carry if I wasn't so reliant.

I just feel like Skarner has too many things gating his power. Mana issues just shouldn't be one of them at this point.

Oh. Some junglers I don't believe should be in lane. Like Skarner, Malphite, and Kha'Zix, mana problems if taken in lane. To me, they just do a lot better in jungle anyways. As for blue buff, I generally like to have the first two as Skarner. Then give my mid laner the 3rd blue buff. That's about when I start using E a bit less to conserve my mana and I try to have 2-3 mana potions on hand then. For the red buff start, I suppose that's more matter of preference/playstyle cause I usually like starting blue anyways. idk y, but i just have a habit of it with most my junglers.

Ok. No offense, but you have only played Skarner 25 times in ranked? Kha'zix 1 time and no Malphites what so ever.

I have seen Kha do very well as a mid laner, and Malphite can do wonders in top lane vs certain opponents. Both have had a good amount of success outside of the jungle.

Skarner is my most played champion atm. 181 games, and I am talking from experience. 1 good scrap and you are oom pretty well through the mid game. Until you get some kind of mana item (I usually get IBG) your "1 good scrap" may not even be long enough to secure a kill, because you go oom.

Skarner currently has a VERY weak early game, is incredibly dependent on items, has virtually NO scaling for dmg either in base numbers or in ratios. His primary gap closing tool (W) has to ramp up its MS bonus, and the slow is only 2.5 seconds. So much is gated against him, I simply want some relief... in the way of mana fixes.

"Kha'zix 1 time and no Malphites what so ever". Okay?? That doesn't mean I haven't faced them a thousand times and watch them go oom in lane very fast in my top lane. Well, Kha'Zix mainly dies fast to me rather than run out of oom cause he's super squish. Malphite is usually the one that goes oom. Malphite even loses to my Shen, which wouldn't be happening if he was jungle. Kha'Zix wouldn't die so fast to me if he was also jungle. I don't play those two champs much but I have seen people do a lot better in the jungle with them than in lane. I have also seen a some Skarner tops where it doesn't go very well either. One of the first few earlier Skarner tops I spectated, was a Diamond 1 doing Skarner top lane and it didn't really go very well for him. It's just when I see someone doing really great as Skarner, Malphite, or Kha'Zix, they are generally in the jungle. It's just I rarely see anyone do well with these champs when they try to lane them.

Oh. You mentioned Kha'Zix mid. I suppose I can't say much on that one cause I've only seen him mid like twice or something, and I don't even remember how that went. I've faced a bunch more in top than mid, and most of them jungle. I've seen Kha'Zix top quite a bit. Mid Kha'Zix seems to be rare. Who does Kha'Zix do well against in mid lane??
