Season 7 Bot Lane

With the changes to wards and things like the Talon update incoming, will bot lane be moving to mid lane? There's already an abundance of "clown fiesta" down bot, but with these new changes, ganking seems even more concerning with the new invisibility on junglers and the nerfing of vision.

I understand that bot lane is the duo lane because of its access to the dragon pit. So mid lane is the second best in that regard. Mid lane also has no adjacent bushes except the river brush, so unless you push too far, you're pretty safe from Rengar ults. Towers are also closer which reduces gankability further, and I think the jungle walls nearest mid are too wide for Talon E.

Am I overthinking this or is this Riot's new meta?

nope.

Mid would be a even bigger lane to target because it can be ganked from 2 sites.

Took the words right out of my mouth. Please give them back when you're done with them.

I thought about that but bot lane isn't much safer now. If you're ganked by mid and jg you have nowhere to go really. If a hypothetical duo mid lane were ganked by jg and top, there's still room to maneuver. If you get a five man gank your bot lane can push for the weak first blood turret.

It may be a stupid idea to move bot to mid but it's just something I've been thinking over. A couple blue wards near wolves and raptors (or whatever they're gonna be in the updated jungle) would be enough to alert you. And if your bot and top lanes don't ping mia that's on them. It may not be viable in regular play but I'm wondering if this is the angle they're aiming for in pro, kind of like the lane swapping thing earlier this year.

This won't work, esp. in pro play, ADCs are always underleveled and Mid is so easy to gank and dive.

On Bot, you'll usually just have to ward Tri and River, on Mid there are 6 different locations a jungler can come from + over the Raptor wall to Dive.

Thing is, solo mids usually have either good escapes or Range to clear the wave from a save distance. Also there is cc that most Mid-Laners have.

ADCs have to get into AA Range to cs.

When now the Jungler (or more) comes from an unwarded location, there usually isn't much you can do because you are underleveled.

Makes sense. I still wonder if Riot isn't trying to influence a lane shift, but yeah, doesn't seem that great of an idea.

Now I just have to figure out how to spot the champs with new stealth.

Camouflage is still detected by the new Control Wards.

Only short Invisibility won't be shown anymore.
