@Meddler 2017 Season Learn From Mistakes

I really hope your team goes into 2017 learning from your mistakes in 2016.

  1. You changed too much in the game and then had to alter it months later because it was too strong or not work. You also made changes in the middle of the season which impacted how the game is supposed to be played, when that should have been done at the beginning of the year. I mean the dragon changes are nice and the Rif Herald changes are nice. It was done so late in the season that players spent the rest of the season trying to learn a new addition in the game.

  2. You allowed a broken class of champions, ADC, to dominate almost 4 months into the season. If you are going to change an entire class of champions, items, masteries, and other stuff . . . that needs to be done all at once. I feel like you didn't test things out long enough or properly and it shifted the season into one meta . . . . way too long and it kind of broke the game. There was literally an ADC in every lane . . . and the itemization was being abused by both AD and ADC. All of the problems involving ADC should have been tested longer and you should have communicated more with the community, which you didn't.

  3. 3 VGU a year is not enough for the amount of work that needs to be updated and fixed in League of Legends. You have champions with horrible art and bland lore, but great kits that just need a fresh coat of paint. You have champions that don't need an art update but just minor kit changes. This mentality that you have to work on three specific champions for the entire year for an art and kit update, is wrong. There should be a small team dedicated to specific parts of the game that needs updating because you are wasting 6 to 7 months on a VGU and pushing back other work on champions that don't need that amount of work. You also don't communicate nearly enough with where specific champions are in the game and you lie, which makes you come off lazy and arrogant. We know you do good work. It would be nice to know if a specific champion is even being considered for minor work.

I also want to add that you don't listen to the community in terms of work being done on champions. Everyone said to leave Vel'Koz, Annie, and Brand alone. What did you do? You were stubborn and decided to do it anyways and accomplished NOTHING. That work could have been applied to making Malzahar balanced in the game at his release or used on another champion. You don't listen and you keep telling us you will . . . but you don't.

  1. In regards to the skin team, the fact that specific champions every single year gets a skin that is high quality and 1350, is kind of getting old. I am saying this because I feel like you guys are extremely elitist towards certain champions and you revolve a "selection or story" around that champion, even when they do not fit the story or the theme of the skin line. I am saying this because you decided to give us Star Guardian Jinx and Poppy, when Syndra, Karma, or another champion could have fit that space better . . . . since they would technically fit the skin line better. Here we are towards the end of the season and you are giving Maokai, a champion I feel does not' deserve the Victorious skin . . . , is getting the skin because you feel he dominated in 3vs3 . . . a gamemode you blatnatly told us you were planning on moving to a rotating game mode. You make a decision based off of your own agenda and then you later create a ridiculous reason for doing so. Maybe if you were just honest and did what was right . . . . the community wouldn't be giving you so much attitude.

What you need to work on:

  1. Communicating more with your community and going on radio show and telling us it's something you need to do . . . but you have yet to actually do it in 6 seasons . . . . is not helping you at all. I feel like you are all talk but no play. You don't communicate at all and you don't listen to the community at all. Right now . . . . people are posting about your ridiculous decision to choose Maokai over GP, Jhin, Azir or Karma for the Victorous skin . . . will you change it or even communicate about it? Nope. You will sit in your expensive gaming chairs and keep telling the community you want to communicate more.

  2. You need to stop making excuses and actually work. Why did you decide to work on the client the entire year and use that as an excuse for not "producing enough content this year". That shouldn't be an excuse. You should prioritize your work better and actually listen to your community. When the vast majority of players are telling you not to work on something, don't do it. You waste time on other resources that could be used on something else in the game.

3 VGU is not enough. The amount of content that needs to be updated in this game is large. Why you think 3 VGU a year is enough to do this, is beyond me. You also should probably consider separating this idea that you should only work on specific champions, only 3 VGU, when a lot of champions only need one thing to make them great in this game. It's really annoying to be ignored for 3+ years on your champion when you have an excuse to working Ryze 7 times. Stop saying you care about your champions. You have yet to communicate that or work on them. The skin team also has to wait on your balance and update team to make skins because you only want to do 3 VGU a year.

  1. Test your content more so you don't have another ADC class issue again.

There are billions of problems with season 6 they need to fix with season 7.

Not one you listed is one of them or is actually a problem, infact most of it is plain wrong.

Rift herald and dragons are fine? Depending on RNG, particular dragons are almost free wins early game and herald is the most ignorable shit out there. Preseason herald was actually fine then they changed it to a 20 minute buff that makes you push and 1v1 easier, after laning phase usually already ends?

If you're aware Riot says things then does the opposite why do you still think they even care? They dont Need to do anything they get more money every year simply because more people join and people that started playing without jobs and didnt buy skins now have the funds. They do whatever they want and not enough people see a problem with that,They don't care about customer satisfaction, they don't care about game balance, they do care about making money and that's effortless at this point.
