Fiora's W blocking on-hit spell effects

Not to say directly that Fiora needs any buffing, but I feel like her W is a little bit pointless. You block one autoattack and that's it. Some might argue that a single auto-attack could mean the difference between life and death, and that's fair, but how often did that honestly happen and how often did you feel actually rewarded for mashing the W button as soon as it came off cooldown?

I think it would be cool if Fiora could block a whole auto-attack with effects and all implied. By that I mean auto-attacks like Udyr's E (stun included), Diana's passive's third strike (The magic damage too). Mainly things that add either an effect or bonus damage to their auto-attack, instead of just the physical damage part of the attack.

It would separate the good Fioras from the great Fioras (sorry.) by allowing them to gain an advantage from properly timing their W.

And, as a small plus, it could also send back a percentage of the damage to the one who gave the attack. Something like 10/30/50/70/90% of the damage inflicted gets sent back.

Too much? I just want to discuss this because I feel like it would be a fitting change to her without possibly overshooting her any more.

(Please try to keep the discussion intelligent and meaningful without being rude about it. I'm just pointing out something I noticed/thought of. I don't know how gamebreaking such an idea could potentionally be.)

Riposte will block all damage from the basic attack, including on-hit effects or attack modifiers. It does not block any form of crowd control or debuff attached to the blocked attack.

So it already does some of this.

Oh, I didn't know. But then why does Diana's magic damage go through anyway? I just played vs her toplane as Fiora and my W, though timed correctly, had no impact on it.

And I don't see why it would block only half the effect of the spell (the damage) and not the other half (the cc/bonus damage)

Diana will not generate stacks or consume the empowered attack if her autoattacks are dodged, blocked, parried, or if the attack misses.

It's possible that you did block the autoattack that would have been empowered, which meant that it was not consumed and would have proc'd on the next autoattack.

I'm not really sure why Parry doesn't block on-hit CC, except that Riot decided that it shouldn't at some point.

Well, if it doesn't consume the stack, then what's the point in blocking the attack... The skill needs some small tweaks at least to make it what it's, in my opinion, supposed to be.

nope. riposte really only blocks the basic damage of an auto attack. any debuffs are still applied.

what she needs is her rework. her w was supposed to work like a mini kayle ult and make her briefly invulnerable not only to auto attacks but also spells.

last ive heared of her rework was probably 2 years ago...

I was under the impression that some of the damage was reflected already, or are you asking to increase that?

Otherwise I agree with adding that it deflects "extra effects" it makes thematic sense.

The damage reflected is a base amount scaling with AP. I think that if it 'reflects' damage, the damage should be at least related to the attack she blocked. And the current damage is nothing but mediocre at the moment, at all stages of the game. Of course, it's not meant to be a damage spell, but I think it would fit better.

Well, it makes fighting against Gankplank a way lot easier.

Fiora lunges, duels and runs. One block is a major contribution for these short fast trades

Uh, it doesn't only block the effect. It blocks and deals magic damage to the enemy attacker. It deals something like 250 damage at max rank. It also gives a shit ton of bonus AD. Which is one of the biggest reason why Fiora is so strong is her free AD off of W.

To answer your question. I was playing vs a Nidalee one time and accidentally took AP runes. I hit my W as she tried to turret dive me and the reflected damage was just enough to kill her. I felt quite rewarded.
