The removal of Executioners Calling is a big problem.

I've previously advocated an approach that made Executioners Calling a valid replacement for PD/Shiv. Now Rito have removed it all together, which means that i basically cannot counter my teammates not buying Morellonomicon, if i'm playing ADC.

That's a free win for any Swain/Warwick/Mundo playing versus a team with an AP with no understanding of itemization. Please put it back in the game. It was a crappy item, but on occasion it was also a NECESSARY item.

Ignite exist and there is a fair chance you'll have two in the game. If you do not have faith, take ignite yourself and ask your sup to carry heal.

But in the case of Ignite, it has a very long cooldown of 210 Seconds (3.5 minutes). At least with Executioner's Calling, anyone who could get in attack range could effectively cut any kind of healing to a degree that makes super healing such as Mundo or Swain or Vladmir at least feels like it could end. The argument against Mundo would be fair in that his Ultimate is the steroid heal that would be the big target of the EC and that his ult speed boost and W tenacity allow him to run from a fight and come back with full health, but against Swain, he could pop his ult at any given time and just be dandy, and Vladmir's harass is strong enough to keep melee range champions away long enough to heal back any health he'd lose on top of anything he gets from Will of the Ancients. Even if they weren't popular, it was still a choice people could use against heal offenders, and now the only equivalent in the game that remains item-wise is just the Morellonomicon.

Exactly my point. Also a lot of the time you will only have one ignite (tp toplane), and sometimes there might even be a case for taking two exhausts. Or you might just be stuck with a midlaner who randomly dumps ignite as a nuke rather than reserving it for the healing target (:

Sorry, but this is a terrible response.

The Exe Calling wasnt an everyday item, it was a niche/necessity item. It was an item that can help stop the heal snowball.

What your suggesting is that every Top player is required to carry ignite as well as a mid, or jungle. Well, hate to break it to you, but thats insane. CD aside, there is no logic for this comment.

Morrello's is such a nuke blaster mid item, that the joe blow caster might not get the use out of it do to the heath stips involved with the debuff.

I have already played 2 games against a snowballing vlad because top didnt have ignite.

My comment is very logical if you actually read my post fully. Normally your midlaner will carry ignite, there is one. Some times toplane/support also bring ignite which would be your second source of ignite. There is nothing "insane" about that as it happens commonly across divisions. In fact, in P5 I'm noticing quite a few junglers running ignite+smite (Rengar, Shaco, Khazix, Elise) and I'm not even recommending that they do so. I am saying that the removal of EC has not broken the game or really hurt anyone. If your toplaner refuses to take ignite against their sustainy top hyper carry lane opponent either ask your support to carry ignite or if you do not trust them to use it, carry ignite yourself and request that they carry heal.

Anyone who doesn't take ignite against a Vlad is a fool. In that situation I'd ask my support to take ignite just because my toplaner clearly doesn't know what he's doing.
