Karthus Needs a Buff

After reading the title you're probably thinking "he is R2win, stop complaining" well sure BUT! With all shifts in the Rift <cough> duskblade <cough> and the fact that every role got updated, now the mages are in a very weak spot in itemization and compatibility. Yes the mages update is coming mid year, but I feel like karthus is a unique mage. Karthus has a very high dmg potential, but he can't unleashs it as effective when facing assassins anymore, even against mages. Karthus also gets countered a lot, I can list so many ways to humiliate a rank 5 Karthus main (including me), for example zhonya, banshee, ton of spells (frkn Soraka); speaking of Raka maybe give the same passive to karthuses ult? (More % dmg to enemy below %hp, and reduce his base dmg ofc). His ult at lvl 1-2 is pretty weak. Also his passive can get a bit more tweaks, maybe increase the spells range when his passive is up? W and E are in a good spot. His Q is hard to place late game with all the mobilty (against assassins, but can't complain since it deals ton of dmg. You might be now saying "stop bitching you just suck, git gud". Well, karthus is my very first champ I played in s2, quit, came back in s5 and I'm still maining him. My avg. score is usually 20/10/15. Now you might be wondering why the hell did I make this post in the first place? Well, it took me SO long to master Karthus, he isn't that of an easy champ to master and unleash his full potential. New karthus players avoid playing him because he gets countred a lot and don't know how to effectively use him, and when I say gets countered a lot, I MEAN A LOT(I'll make a list below 1000 ways to counter a rank5 Karthus. In my entire league career I didn't meet more than 20 karthuses and only 2 of them were DECENT, not great. They all used the die to get kills techniques. Which I as a Karthus main makes me , I always bring my hopes up when I see a Karthus but get disappointed after I see their plays. The last reason why I posted this is because Karthus overall isn't healthy in the League, if you get matched against a soraka,bard,etc. The ruins your potential as karthus, facing a counter can determine if you'll do good as a player (not as in winning/losing a match). Yeah, every champs needs to have some natural counters (like Xerath to Azir), I agree with that, but as Karthus, no matter how good you are, it is REALLY hard to outplay your counter, and karthus got lots of counters as I mentioned earlier. This is getting long, please Riot check this post and consider it.
