Why people are complaining now about Electrocute?

I don't understand. This rune has been like this ever since the new runes were introduced, and it is now a problem?

From reading all those complaints, it sounds like it is less of a problem with Electrocute itself, and more with the insane damage creep that this game has been having. But that isn't a new problem (ever since the old masteries were introduced, we have been having more and more damage creep).

With that said... Electrocute may add to the damage creep, but it isn't the sole problem, if it is a problem at all. This rune is meant to be something that champions use when they want to burst someone in one combo. In the long run, Arcane Comet and even Aerys outdamage it. But they can't compare to the sheer power of Electrocute in a single fight or combo.

If it is a problem now, it is because of this ridiculous early game oriented meta where snowball is incredibly strong and games don't last long.

In my opinion, the combination of Ignite and Electrocute is what really disturbs me. The ignite buff was unwarranted. Combine Ignite and Electrocute, that's 1/3 of my health if not more. That's not terrible, obviously, but you have to consider that it's without even factoring in the champions' abilities.

Electrocute + Ignite does too much damage.

Unpopular Opinion: Runes Reforged adds too much damage entirely and the numbers need to be nerfed across the board.

In the past, going all the way down in the Damage tree would give Increases damage dealt to champions below 20 / 35 / 50% maximum health by 5%, for example. A small effect. https://vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/leagueoflegends/images/5/59/Executioner_mastery_2014.png/revision/latest?cb=20170430020740[/img] Then it went to Thunderlord's Decree (Electrocute's succesor) 10 - 180 damage (+ (30% bonus AD) + (10% AP) https://vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/leagueoflegends/images/5/58/Thunderlord%27s_Decree_mastery_2016.png/revision/latest?cb=20151103094742[/img]

Electrocute is doing 50 - 220 (based on level) (+ 50% bonus AD) (+ 30% AP)

And people wondering where Damage creep is at? There are many things ridiculous about the game's damage right now. This has got to be amongst the top 3.

my only problem with Electrocute is that its the only viable option for assassins. if you are jungling Kayne or eve you COULD take dark harvest but it does no damage for most of the game and requires preparation.

the real problem with this rune is it can double proc instanly two time this alognside with ignite dealing massive damage u get one shotted at lvl 1-2

i was once playing midlane agaisnt a kata ,i was poking her ,she was qing me back so my hp were about 87% , i saw khazix coming i flashed to my turret ,kata e auto ignite me proced Electrocute then kha flashed e auto q procced another Electrocute and i got away with 1% hp this rune deal about 40% of ur hp procooed two time means 80% wich means all they have to do is proc the rune and ur dead with no spells what'sover

u can actitive this rune buy auto ignite one spell , kha would never do this in s7 cause it's pointless to risk a dive at lvl 2 against full hp enemy

This may be more of a problem with Ignite, remember, Riot buffet this spell recently, when it didn't received buffs in years.

Right but that's the only time when it's useful AND it's the only time it should be. I firmly believe that keystones should have windows where they're supposed to be strong and windows where they're supposed to be weak. Electrocute is the early game domination keystone.

Now Precision keystones, on the other hand, are good at all points in the game.

Don't listen to the boards at all. They need to find anything to complain about every month or week. Electrocute is fine either they like it or not.

Runes are more than just nice buffs for your champion. They’re also balance levers for the classes of champions who take them. Electrocute, for example, is a balance lever for early-game combo-burst champions. It was designed to be their best choice.

Unfortunately, it therefore must be the one thing they want, which is more burst. Burst is tuned around its numbers and is very snowbally; both of these tendencies increase the larger the burst is. Worse, since Electrocute procs after a combo, its damage is usually surprising and occasionally lethal. It could be better designed.

Right now, its very low level numbers are probably just overturned, and the champs who take it are top tier. They could afford to lose a little punch.

Uhm? How wouldn't that be a problem in a meta where it comes down to who kills the other player first? Or in other words: Can I 100 to 0 you before you kill me?

Electrocute adds too much damage for 0 effort. You just get your combo done and it deals 300 extra dmg.

Your argument makes no sense tbh. "dmg creep is too high thats why electrocute is strong" Electrocute is always too strong! Why? Because it is how it's designed. It's a burst mastery. It doesn't matter if we have dmg creep or not. It will always just add damage. And it has to be a lot of dmg. If it had less damage we would take comet or even aery. So it has to be stronger than them dmg wise. This is the flaw of the new Rune/Mastery-system, they are 90% dmg-oriented.
