Bard actually turned out LEAGUES better than I expected. He looks like a fun support to play and can possibly make entire games turn around with a good ult or 2.

Oh I forgot people can potentially troll with this champion, AS WELL AS ANY FUCKING CHAMPION, so it's automatically a bad design by riot.

His ult was intended probably to ult the enemy team when they are taking dragon / baron so you can steal it, or ult your team while shit is on cooldown.

Just because his ult was intended for the enemy team doesn't mean that's what bards will do with it. They have to think of all uses, even troll ones, rather than pushing out a champ because it's good uses are good. Just because it can be used to save allies and cc enemies doesn't mean that it can't be used to save enemies, or to cc allies.

I'm okay with Jarvan ult and even Anivia wall. I'm not okay with abilities that displace or disable your allies (see: Kalista and now Bard).

I ain't very worried about attempted bard trolls. I've never even seen any of the other "troll champs" cause a game to be lost because of this kinda stuff.

also, you don't want a free five man zhonya's? Not to mention that there ain't that many trolls out there that do anything more than flame, and they ain't very good at that.

Don't get me wrong, his ult looks cool as hell. I've just seen some things with Kalista that have me worried about Bard.

Kalista can pull you away as you are about to body block a nid spear for your mage so the mage dies, she can teleport across the map and take you with her, she can decide to use her black spear while you are in the enemy jungle invading and watch the enemy AA you to death while you are stunned, if she dies to the turret and ults you right before she dies you get dropped there without choice, etc.... Those things have all happened to me personally, and it's why we can't have abilities that cc your allies. Trolls used to have to kill themselves to feed the enemy but now they can directly kill you too.

What champion in the game can troll aside from Jarvan, Anivia and Kalista? Jarvan and Anivia just create an obstacle for your team. Kalista can use ult when you don't want her to and stop what you are doing, but you can still control where you go after.

Bards abilities have so many ways to troll it's not even funny. His ult is even global apparently(preview video), so you can save enemy team from across the map. Interrupt your teammates channels, ult your teammates that are running away so enemy team catches up to them. Save the enemy team from turret dives or allow them to easily turret dive by disabling your own turret. Teammate flashed over a wall? Use E to create a path for enemy team.

Alistar can knock enemies away and let them escape, Blitz can pull an enemy in and let them get a kill

Kalista can use ult when you don't want her to and stop what you are doing, but you can still control where you go after.

Unless she dies or teleports. If she dies you don't get to chose where you go. If she teleports across the map you follow her (although you get to chose the direction you go out once you are there).

Aside from trolls, I see 2 problems with his ult:

Most people don't really pay much attention to their allies, and it'll be easy to fuck up their combos just because you can land a good ult. One good thing about the restrictions on what allies can do to each other is that everyone in the game can get by more or less ignoring what their allies are doing because there aren't a lot of ways to fuck each other over directly.
If he ults, and his team loses the fight, you can bet some idiots will just imagine he fucked them over so they have someone to blame.

I thought for sure this title was a sarcastic thread about all the stupid changes in the last patch.

But I guess a shiney new champ distracts the simple folk from those.

I'm certainly not commending them for nerfing Veigar and Kassadin, but at least give them some credit for making an actually balanced, fun champion that's a support.

Cannot wait till like 2 months roll around after release, and people are crying for nerfs.
