Could we add the perpendicular paths to Vel'Koz's Q's targeting indicator?

Seeing how some champs recently have been receiving adjustments to their targeting indicators, like Azir's R or Mega Gnar's W (still waiting on the latter), could Vel'Koz's Q receive similar treatment? It's hardly fitting a manipulator of geometry has to guess and check with his work; let me see how far the perpendicular bolts extend!

Could we rework Vel'koz into the Fractal Geometry Mage?

Make it so his Q splits everytime it hits an enemy champion? (up to a max of course)

Nah, keep going until it doesn't hit something - like Sivir. ^_^

(But don't give them Doom Bots 2 ideas).

That would buff his damage in teamfights! To compensate they might need to nerf overall damage, taking into account the number of times it can replicate. His zoning would be ridiculous. It would be a cool addition but it would need to be nerfed to a point where it might not be worth using it to harass because of its nerfed damage or w/e.

W was always a better laning ability anyway so why not? :p

Vel'Koch Snowflake skin?

I feel like he shouldn't have it. I guess "summoner 13" but, I thought part of the skill in playing him is knowing how far you can angle the Q. If it flat out shows you..that's a little lame... What next? Add a 'time till arrival at X location' on ashe/ez/draven DRAVEEEENN ulti's?

Also didn't most Anivia mains hate the indicator change to her Q?

The thing is, Vel's Q doesn't have a set range since you can reactivate it. Unless it just always shows where the perpendicular projectiles will go if the Q goes full range.

The latter. Besides, Vel's Q has a targeting indicator anyway, does it not, ignoring the fact you can reactivate it at any time?

I wonder if the best if indicator would move with the projectile.

So you first fire the Q with the same indicator as it has now, but the Q projectile itself has indicators off of it in perpendicular directions, showing where it would go at that particular moment if you fired again.

That would be the opposite of clarity

See Anivia as of V4.18

This is not a change that should happen. Part of having the skill to play Vel'koz well is hitting the split of his Q.

Something like Anivia's cast indicator as of V4.18 would seem to be fitting.

No good sir. You have to get a Degrees Ruler and have to calculate the Angels in which you fire in for best results. I mean all things in life must be earned through hard work. I recommend using a degree ruler and a trusty pencil.

Absolutely not. Part of playing Vel'Koz is knowing your geometry; if they just gave you indicators that would remove a huge element of skill from the champ.

I guess it couldn't hurt. True geometry masters would not need such a handicap, though.

Then why does Ezreal have target indicators? Playing him well should be a true display of skill.

All of Ezreal's skillshots are perfectly straight; he is no master of geometry. Having him be the only champion without such indicators would just be weird. Perhaps a better analogy would be Malzahar's Q (which is basically VK's Q, only inverted), or even Diana's Q.

Y'know, thinking on it a bit more, I guess it wouldn't be too bad to have perpendicular indicators for VK... that was just my kneejerk reaction.

I don't think it would be nice at all. Remember how people hate Varus's new linear-skillshot cast on his Q before it got reverted into a point-&-click cast? Seems similar as this.
