Lulu nerfs: are they going anywhere?

#Disclaimer: contains a very long post.

For those who haven't seen the changes just yet:

Lulu

  • Base health reduced to 515 from 552.76 (source)
  • Whimsy (W)
  • AP ratio reverted to 10% per 100 AP from 5% per 100 AP
  • Speed buff duration reduced to 3/3.25/3.5/3.75/4 from 3/3.5/4/4.5/5
  • Wild Growth (R) bonus health reverted to 300/450/600 from 200/350/500

The change last week (that so many people have complained about for some reason):

Lulu

  • Whimsy (W) AP ratio reduced to 5% per 100 AP from 10% per 100 AP.
  • Wild Growth (R) bonus health lowered to 200/350/500 from 300/450/600

Yes, it is clear that her W ally cast is something that support Lulus don't really use W ally cast as much as enemy cast, so toning that down is aimed more at Lulu solo. "B-but she will have trouble trying to get back into lane!!!! :((((((" A lot of supports don't have that kind of speedboost luxury and still has 325 movement speed, so be glad that Lulu can do it.

Yes, I understand that the new base nerfs will hurt BOTH solo lane and support, though it hurts her supporting more. But again, do some research, and you will realize that she has one of the most base HP among ranged champions, which as a very safe solo laner... something's fishy. Thresh, Ryze, Draaaaven, and Lucian are the only other ranged champs with higher base HP at level 1 than Lulu does. For all 4 of them, it is very reasonable that they have high base HP values. Let's see who is below. Graves and Morgana. Both also have high HP bases to make up for their short AA range. But Lulu, who also has standard 550 AA range? No. Maybe as a support, it is very reasonable due to her lack of heals and range compared to that of backline supports, but as a solo laner, it is not. So that nerf is more of something that will have to be done sooner or later, whether we like it or not.

Yes, I also understand that many people use her ult for heals and saves (though IMO using it just to save is a total of a waste of spell, if anyone wants heals just pick Raka/Nami/or even Sona), so people made dozens of threads crying for reverts of that nerf. 100 HP taken away early game in a dueling scene is a very strong nerf, and that most solo Lulu players use their ults for the healing values. However, in a 2v2 situation, 100HP taken away from an ult whose primary purpose is a knockup/disruption tool isn't much, especially if timed at the START of the skirmish where at least one party will be knocked up if used properly. In fact, 200 HP early game is at most needed in a 2v2 situation, if it is used for very close saves and in the cases of emergencies. Though that nerf isn't the best solution to "just nerf solo Lulu and leave support alone", that nerf actually served its original purpose: to tone down Lulu solo lane capabilities.

#All that, though, not the main point. The main point of this thread is to highlight that the newer nerfs do nothing to solo Lulu's power.

Remember back in season 4 where they nerfed the W duration, especially early on? That hardly ever do much to any part of Lulu's soloing safety, other than "get back to lane at a much slower pace", which... is nothing. That nerf can be solved by simply maxing W before E. And this is exactly what the current nerfs still do;** it doesn't do anything.**

And for those that don't know the problem with Lulu solo versus Lulu support, and why Lulu solo should be nerfed while support should remain untouched, I'll go over this as well. Even though both has very different playstyles, both poke a lot early game, and their damages fall off late. Both can become useful later game because of utility, no matter how well or badly they perform during laning. Both are team reliant (though support is way more reliant), which makes Lulu any lane in any form of organized team play rather powerful.

However, Lulu support in lane is actually... not as safe as you think. Sure, she can be played as if she is taken to a solo lane, but at the same time, resources such as mana management becomes a lot more vital, especially because has another head to take care of. You have to choose between poking from a very safe range and drain your mana, or step in a bit closer to conserve mana for escapes while doing your job at once. You have to choose between pushing and harass cautiously so you and your laner can run away from ganks or just poke willy-nilly. You get choices, and have penalties for picking a side. If you can't do it correctly, the enemy ADC/jungler who may camp your lane will be very fed since botlane deaths mean 2 people dying at once, so twice the potential for snowballing. If you can do it correctly, sometimes it's not much because... no one dies. That's a weakness. That's a risk. And that's okay, because there is something to punish if she does badly.

Lulu solo doesn't have much of all that "fancy decision-making and risk-avoiding" tactics. You poke and shove the lane most of your time. Oops, draining mana too much? Just autoattack and farm while you wait for your mana bar to refill once again. Oh right, do you need to get a mana regen item? Hmm... there's no one toplane and the wave is pushed, so leaving anytime like this is perfectly fine, you get your own EXP anytime unlike your "shitty" support conterpart who is always EXP-starved anyways. Got ganked? Q at something, and speedboost yourself; it is much easier than trying to peel for another person with very limited tools. Got camped? Enemy laner won't snowball as hard as if you got camped botlane, so it's only not as bad. There is very little risk involved. There is very little punishable weakness. (I don't really play Lulu top, so please don't beat me up for slight misconceptions)

#This is what needs to be toned down. I don't care how entertaining or boring it is to watch or play as Lulu top/mid, but given her amount of safety, especially in a solo lane, it is something that should be the main thing that should be addressed.

It is perfectly fine to pick a champion for more utility over damage, but it is not okay when that pick has very little risk involved overall. That also includes certain base values that Lulu solos use more, and something that Lulu supports don't use as often. Not her speedboost. And not just her base HP values.

So, what does it mean?

Sometimes, nerfing certain parts of Lulu's supporting capabilities is necessary, though it should at most, be something that she doesn't use from a support standpoint. That also means those teeny-tiny-wrist-slap nerfs will not do anything to tone down Lulu solo's power. Variety is great, versatility is just as great (and again, Lulu jungle is a lot of fun), but there has to be some form of trade-offs.

Laning safety is a luxury that primarily Lulu solo laners get, and something that Lulu supports will hardly ever have unless against stupidly easy matchups, or just as stupid enemy teammates, which is really the only difference between Lulu solo and Lulu support. Yes, nerfing Lulu solo will have to nerf her supporting abilities, because after all, it's the same champion with completely different playstyles. And yes, there is a way to make sure her solo laning capabilities is nerfed so she is no longer 100% pick/ban, while not doing much to Lulu support. I have read a lot of interesting ideas, most of them are great (and if not better than Riot's current changes).

##So, please, just calm down. Before you start stabbing someone (me, Riot, or just anyone disagreeing with you) simply because it is a "nerf", consider looking at things at a bigger picture. Consider the purposes of certain spells, the strengths/weaknesses of champions and how they function in different lanes, the question: "why pick this champ in x position?", and even other players that just plays a different way.

You remembered what happened to Lux and Veigar because of waves of community complaints, of people that don't even utilize such champs properly, and how they got "overbuffed" because of the overwhelming waves of community complaints, THEN getting Veigar nerfed due to the unnecessary buffs. We don't want another "perfectly fine thing" ruined simply because of the community who don't even play such champs, or simply because of a popular playstyle.

My big fat 2 cents about these Lulu nerfs right now. Thoughts?

#TLDR: (sorry for the long post)

  • Current PBE changes do nothing to make people not pick Lulu solo; she will still be a 100% pick/ban anyways.
  • Lulu solo has very little real weaknesses, while Lulu support has them: laning.
  • Nerfing Lulu solo will have to involve nerfing Lulu support to some extent, and we can't avoid that. Yes that involves nerfing base values.
  • I am not looking to gut Lulu solo out of viability, but is only to tone down her safety and to give her an actual weakness.
  • Versatility is great, but if one of the options has very little weaknesses, that's the problem.
  • Quit whining over something that doesn't affect Lulu support as much as Lulu solo.

I'll just leave this here:

{quoted}

early game power, especially on a self sufficient ranged harass laner like Lulu can be felt more than late game AP ratios. So buffing her base and nerfing her ratios could end up buffing solo lane Lulu even. Number tweaks that don't matter happens... and she retains her amazing CC/engage/peel/damage mitigation the reason she's ultimately picked.

Lulu solo was able to be fairly strong in lane because of base values, when almost everyone (including her) has little to no scalings. Buffing any form of early base damage would only give her much more ability to waveclear and safety in lane, and that's not what we want.

The plan as of right now is to not go forward with the base HP nerfs. Will say your assessment is generally right about her stats: she has high HP especially for a champion with 550 range, AND she has a shield.

Theoretically her support lane could be safer as she could use her ally as a beacon for E and Q power. Realistically that doesn't happen and she tends to put herself in dangerous spots to keep threat on the enemy.

Lulu makes an appearance in almost every competitive game because she doesn't lose lane (can flex top/mid), and endgame she donates a 70% MS boost with about 70% uptime, and then also gets to protect an ally for well over 1k instantaneously. The Whimsy nerfs might do slightly more than you're giving credit for, as they're pretty noticeable for solo Lulu late game. We'll see and reassess. :)

You do realize that you could actually just nerf some of the utility AP ratios while buffing up the base slightly? I mean, Riot purposely keeps Nami's Utility AP ratios DOWN so that Nami doesn't be come a dominating flex pick like Lulu is.

Zero Skill Tank4 votes

While this seems the simplest, I THINK that Riot doesn't want to make gutting AP Ratios on support something very common, because:

a) they don't want to completely shut supports from snowballing ability. In lower ELO's or normals support will sometimes get some kills and build lots of AP - this might not be right thing to do in higher levels of play, but it's fun and feels rewarding, so they don't want to make removing this option something common, because it would make casual support players pick things like Brand or Vel'koz way more often

b) this is very cheap, it's like saying "you gonna support because we don't wan't you to do anything else, not because you are in fact good support, Lulu". It's like in those amateur RPG's when there's a rock in your way that will be conveniently removed when you finish some completely unrelated quest - it just feels forced and bad

But again - those are just my thoughts.

Well, lulu lacks potential to snowball with ap anyway,as she doesn't have much damage(her utility will scale, that's good for winning trades, but she lacks the ability to force them, which is a definitive part of being a snowbally champion, point is: lulu isn't a snowbally champion, that's not gonna change)

ANYWAY,you have a very clear issue with mid/top lulu who obviously needs nerfs, thing is if you make meaningful nerfs to her bases(ANY of them) support lulu will go from bad to worse(she's already not great as is),it won't matter that she will have good ap ratios, the situation will simply be: "do not pick support lulu unless you REALLY insist on it for no reason",you nerf her ratios and her gameplay as a mid/top will get a bit dubious(good early, falls off,not too horrible of an identity all in all,but not great) and as a support she will have less options for itemization, you nerf her bases and you just end up in a situation where you REALLY shouldn't ever be picking her as a support, whereas as a mid/top people for the most part just don't find her very fun(hell even in her current state her pickrate there is rather low).

Basically it's a problematic scenario, and no matter what you do the outcome won't be great,it just seems that nerfing her bases will overall be a lot worse overall(as it focuses on a role which for all we know might completely disappear from solo q with these nerfs) than nerfing her ratios.

She's pretty damn good at snowballing other people though. XD

She's not.

Every champion snowballs, everyone gets stronger with an advantage which makes it easier to get a bigger one,but some are better at it than others.

The champions who are good at snowballing are those who are good at forcing trades, mobile champions combined with either reliable burst and/or lockdown, lulu is not that. Akali snowballs well, talon snowballs well, leona snowballs well, alistar, thresh, blitz, these are strong snowballers, lulu is not a strong snowballer in any way,it's just that every time a champion is too strong he becomes literally hitler for the boards and overpowered in every way.

Lulu is not a snowbally champion, that's all there is to it.

Valderis Vandala1 votes

I did not say she was one, I said she helps other people to snowball.

She is rather mobile, with her speed buff and some good boots she can show up to fights quickly.

She can make a teammate very mobile, protect them from damage and increase their damage, land a good slow from the teammate she is protecting and helps put some initial damage on the enemy, then she gives a health boosts plus a knock up plus a slow field. If all that doesn't help to snowball a team member then I don't know what will. She provides the tools needed to snowball to her teammate.

I did not say she was one, I said she helps other people to snowball.

And you were wrong about it. Leona snowballs other people,thresh/alistar/blitz snowball other people. Lulu is bad at snowballing, both herself and other members of her team.

She is rather mobile, with her speed buff and some good boots she can show up to fights quickly.

this isn't about showing up to fights,it's about forcing them. If lulu speeds herself she loses the cc,if she speeds an ally she has trouble following them. It's not alistar who will just w->q and here you go,a fight,it's not thresh/leona/blitz who will stand between creeps and zone you from cs,going in for a fight if you go close. Lulu just isn't much of a snowballer.

You realize her "teammates" is the adc, what do you want him to do,intiate a fight? I'm sure running into the enemy bot lane with her speedboost is a good idea, and definitely won't get you killed in this tank support meta. Lulu's kit is too defensive in nature, she snowballs, every champion in this game does, but she does so much less than the bast majority of them.

She provides the tools needed to snowball to her teammate.

No,she doesn't,I'm guessing you have no idea how to actually snowball a teammate,or the game.

Solo Lulu had no real weaknesses, and that's the problem we are trying to address.

As in, things like Quinn and Graves can be behind if they get camped. Even if you camp a Lulu, she will automatically remain useful because of her utility that she brings later game.

Oh wow. Such an obvious solution! Except in actuality:

  • early game power, especially on a self sufficient ranged harass laner like Lulu can be felt more than late game AP ratios. So buffing her base and nerfing her ratios could end up buffing solo lane Lulu even. Number tweaks that don't matter happens... and she retains her amazing CC/engage/peel/damage mitigation the reason she's ultimately picked.

  • design wise a support champ like Lulu should at least have the option of feeling good about buying ap at least sometimes... theoretically... Ideally...

Riot isn't completely stupid. The goal is to just simply get her out of ban tier in competitive.. not delete solo lane Lulu. And contrary to common belief... support Lulu is not in a bad spot. Although it's true she's more of an enabler champ than carry factor herself...

If there's anything that needs to be looked at though to target AP Lulu specifically it's her late game allied W cast. Personally I would make the extra speed AP ratio affect Lulu only. Allied cast is capped at 30%. Lulu herself zipping around on her broomstick end game isn't as concerning and it's fun and cute.

Making her base HP in line more appropriate for her kit is another fine idea.

Athenes Lulu3 votes

All that requires fine tuning.

I'll add on to this post:

Lulu solo was able to be fairly strong in lane because of base values, when almost everyone (including her) has little to no scalings. Buffing any form of early base damage would only give her much more ability to waveclear and safety in lane, and that's not what we want.

Any backline support should "feel good" about building AP, though of course, there are trade-offs to doing so. And that's okay.

And contrary to common belief... support Lulu is not in a bad spot.

No, Nami doesn't become a flex pick because she's terrible at CSing because she has fairly weak autos and her Q is the only skill she has that she could use for clearing waves and it's too important to save that for using on the enemy to use it on minions and you'd need to max it first which is a poor first skill max.

Sire Hippington3 votes

No, riot doesn't keep namis or any other utillity ratios down. The actually buffed her utillity ratio by alot the last time they touched her.

The reason she and other supports aren't used on sololanes isn't that they don't sclae well with gold(ap) The reason other suuports aren't used on sololanes is that their kits aren't great for sololanes, they simply lack the reliable, mana-efficient poke AND waveclear that lulu has. Simply put: other sups have a weak 1v1 laneing phase, or atleast a very vulnerable one, unlike lulu who has a dominant and save sololane.

Deltajugg5 votes

Not only would AP scaling help keeping Lulu solo lane in check and practically leave Lulu support barely affected (because of the reduced gold income and sightstone purchase her powerspike is highly delayed and not many people will actually play her as full AP support anyway), there's also another simple method of reducing solo laning effectiveness which was suggested in another thread somewhere: make the Glitterlance deal reduced damage versus minions so her pushing power is not that high. It is a nerf to Lulu's overall power, but it doesn't affect support laning negatively. For me, base health reduction is the worst path you could go for with her. If you will keep scaling her health down so she doesn't play aggressively on the lane then no one will play her in the first place, because her passive being used to poke down the enemy is why people mostly pick her over other utility champions(aside from her anti-zed ults). Lulu is first and foremost a poke-oriented support, with her utility being a second priority. If you'll nerf her poking capabilities too much people will just play Janna, as she provides better utility and doesn't rely on poke much in the first place. Health reduction does exactly that. And she won't be able to safely poke down enemies with just E+Q method suggested above as a "safe form" of poke because of mana costs of that method to be spammable enough to be considered poke.

Theoretically her support lane could be safer as she could use her ally as a beacon for E and Q power. Realistically that doesn't happen and she tends to put herself in dangerous spots to keep threat on the enemy.

Like Bard, she uses primarily autoattacks to do the harass job, therefore often putting her in a fairly dangerous spot. But otherwise, yes.

It sounds more like cutting down unnecessary power to me (like lowering the bonus AD on Janna's shield), or something that seems underwhelming on paper. The utility scaling on her W seemed as if it is almost absolutely unnecessary, and only serves a tool for her solo lane to be picked more.

Speaking of the ult, do you have anymore plans for that?

Pleased to meet you as well. No immediate plans for the ultimate. I'm of the impression that the later ranks have an excessive amount of power in them. Except in very odd games, support Lulu doesn't get to see rank 3/level 16 so I could see us directing focus there if we want to hit solo lane more than support in the future.

Are there any plans to adjust/help supports keep up in XP pace? It's really annoying being 3-5 levels behind everyone. I'd say you guys should reintroduce the Inspiration mastery, or mix it in with Bandit since Bandit is one of the most unappealing mastery compared to how powerful and promising Dangerous Game can be.

Can you not just kill the AP scaling on W and give it a meaningful scaling with ability rank? We all agree that support Lulu should be a thing and that solo lane Lulu should not be a thing. How do you turn a mage into a support? Give them high base values and low scalings so that they are powerful in the early to mid game and fall off when their carries take over.

Edit: Downvote me all you want, i know my assertion is correct, stop whining.

RiotRiot Sotere6 votes

Ah so we kind of diverge in opinions here: I don't think solo Lulu is inherently bad. It has a cool strategic purpose. The problem is that at some levels of play it's the optimal choice for a standard strategy, too.

Solidair310 votes

You say that, but the cost of solo lane lulu being "healthy" is that support lulu has to be downright bad.

Edit: At least, that's how you've balanced her so far. Every nerf to her has affected her support as well as her solo. I don't know why you guys don't just try to hit things that benefit solo lane lulu. Make her Q do half damage to minions. I don't care what it takes, just please try to bring support lulu back.

Athenes Lulu3 votes

She already has "meaningful" scalings with her abilities, which is one of the biggest reasons that she was such a "great" solo laner.

Her damage, by default compared to that of almost every solo laner, falls off late. So she instead becomes a second support. That's okay.

What's not okay is there are no real weaknesses to solo lane Lulu. Many lane bullies will become useless when camped, unless the game drags to 50+ minutes. Lulu doesn't have that as a weakness due to her "become a second support late game" kind of thing.

Blackquill1 votes

She already has "meaningful" scalings with her abilities, which is one of the biggest reasons that she was such a "great" solo laner.

Read again. I specifically stated that her W should have a meaningful scaling with ability rank and less AP scaling, or depending of the base values: no scaling with AP at all.

I think the best ways to adress sololane lulu would be a change to W speed, some more ms per rank so it is actually worth useing on an ally as sup, but with a lower ap-ratio so less engame madness for ap lulu. Aditionally, nerf E in the early ranks but keep it the same at max rank, maybe even with more base shield at max rank but a lower ap-ratio. This would lower lulus earlygame damage, and it further hurts her if she maxes W for more speed, while support lulu can afford to max E first ashe she doesn't need Q for waveclear. Maybe even buff the Q slow duration at early ranks so sup lulu can even afford to max it last.

Maybe even give her a small rework, E could be changed on it's agressive use from a nuke into a debuff, makeing the target take increased damage from her passive and takeing X% damage from a second clitterlance, so you actually have to do some fullowup work for E to shine, allowing for some counterplay.

lul was a problem since release. She got quite huge nerfs soon after her release as she was abused as a midlaner. By the virtue of her very versatile + highly reliable kit, she is bound to be either a strong pick in professional play or a very undertuned pick in generall.

Her Q slow is 80% at all ranks and you want to buff that in its early ranks? Bad idea.

Also she's a poke mage support, she can't really afford to max E first, that would increase her mana expenses without offering good damage. Q is her bread and butter poke skill. E is secondary either for protection or extra damage or for extending her Q range.

The Q slow is initially 80%, but falls off over the duration, and the duration is 1sec rank 1, 2sec rank 5, so a maxed Q right now has a twice as efficient slow than a rank 1 Q

there might be need for some more number tuneing, especially on manacosts, for E and also her passice so support lulu can feel good about maxing it first, but i still think it's the best way to actually adress sololane lulu without hurting support lulu.

Could be, but then people that hate Lulu will complain about her undodgeable E being cancer while support Lulu players complain they now can't even trade somewhat safely because they are expected to use it for damage or something. Unless they are still supposed to use it mainly for shields but will she still be a poke support at that point or does she become a shield bot? Or is she supposed to shield herself and poke with auto attacks and people will hate her because nobody can trade with her because her shield either costs nothing or is too strong?

I don't know man.

Her passive could be slightly buffed(probably with anerf on either e or Q damage), so shielding yourself and pokeing with AAs is a solid option for lulu.

But mostly, this is the reason i purposed a rework for her E on enemie cast, cause currently it becomes a boring no counteplay pattern as soon as it's strong enough to warrent use other than the reveal and/or the increased range for glitterlance. The main reason with lulu is how her kit works in lane. Q is a fairly easy to land poke with solid range that also serves as waveclear and slows, so she can either retreat without you beeing able to retaliate(unless you have a really high range), or she can easily follow with e/AAs Aditionally she has the pint n click E that allows for a nearly un avoidable Q, and very strong AAs for extendet trades. All in all, where is little you can do to avoid Lulu's stuff in the lane, especially if you are rather short ranged, while her CDs are also fairly low. At the same time, lulu has alot tools to avoid your stuff. In order for her to not suck to play against, she needs some changes in her mechanics so you can avoid more of her stuff/ get real winsows of opportunity, or way undertuned numbers.

Lulu's Q is a normal harass ability, lots of champions have something like this, she faces the same problems with it that other champions do when they try to poke their enemy, they get poked back. It's also the only means of "safe" damage she has, but as you said its also a CC tool, her main one so if she uses it to harass at the wrong time or chooses the wrong target she's going to be in trouble or her ADC will be. And if she chooses to follow up with auto attacks she'll be putting herself in danger even more, especially late game where this is only a limited option as she is a AP support and very squishy. And while her auto attacks are strong the way her booster works is rather annoying, the damage it gives is delayed and can be blocked even by minions.

While her E is unavoidable, it also only has a range of 650, so if you want to use that for a almost unavoidable Q then you have to put yourself at great risk without being able to shield yourself.

And while she has tools to avoid your stuff, these things are not that great during the laning phase. Her W cast on an enemy lasts only long enough to avoid a single auto attack and its not even an instant cast, while unavoidable it still has travel time so its not a safe bet. It only become great once you get to team fights where you have multiple people who can jump on the helpless victim to take him out of the fight, otherwise its just a inconvenience.

Her R, while sort of unavoidable also means somebody has to get into melee range of the enemy, in lane it means putting either yourself in danger or your ADC, its a great bait skill but not without its risk for the user.

Lulu is not without her weaknesses, and she has to make smart decisions. The things that can be avoided act like any avoidable skill and those that can't put her or her ally at risk.

I think your ideas will only end up hurting her in the end and make her less fun to play. Don't put to much power in her auto attacks, those become more dangerous to use and more useless the longer the game lasts. Don't put to much power into her E, its only a single target ability with very short range that can't have its range significantly increased without becoming a problem.

At this point I just want solo lulu to die so supp lulu can be great again

I just want support Lulu to survive. Do whatever is necessary to keep solo lane Lulu in check, but an apology in the patch notes is not enough to keep her viable as a support.

Sadly I don't think that's possible without a rework :/

WHAT O_O ... lulu solo is literally THE BEST way to play lulu.. It's extremely fun and satisfying and stopping assassins from aceing your team is always a plus.

Solidair38 votes

That's the problem. She used to be able to do all that on a support budget in the support role, but after so many nerfs to keep solo lulu in check, support lulu has been suffering the most

I just want to be able to play Lulu support and get rewarded for being able to outsmart big dummies.

And not look like a joke for playing only that.

"B-but she will have trouble trying to get back into lane!!!! :((((((" A lot of supports don't have that kind of speedboost luxury and still has 325 movement speed, so be glad that Lulu can do it.

I actually make significant use of ally-cast whimsy for saving allies or getting them into position for kills. I don't understand why Riot doesn't just completely delete the AP ratio on it and leave the duration alone. That would definitely effect solo Lulu without really touching support Lulu.

Also good for snatching assists when you are rooted, while your teammates aren't.

Would want "free AP for allies" over utility scalings that supports will never need any day, we remember the good ol' days.

They probably wanted to be "consistent" with their proposed ideas in S4 that turns out to be a total flop anyways.

Meh, I can't remember a single time I ever actually used whimsy for the AP boost.

More like just something that's pretty unique because no other champion has that.

If Janna can give people AD, then why not be able to give people AP?

Akali is SO HOT4 votes

What about changes like these (not all of them have to be implemented) -Q now does 60%/70%/80%/90%/100% damage to minions (damage to enemy champions and monsters stays the same) -Nerf the W ms bonus scaling or cap it when used on allies -Increase the base on her ultimate and nerf the scaling

Support Lulu doesn't care about clearing minion waves because that would steal cs which she doesn't want and she still gets to keep her harass against champions (numbers are just placeholders) which wouldn't gut lane lulu but would make it so she can't ez mode clear waves by facerolling the keyboard.

Nerfing the scaling on W or capping it on allies makes it so it doesn't affect Support Lulu too much but doesn't give Lane Lulu the stupid utility she has late game with her ability to give carries 50000000 bonus movement speed.

Increasing the base on her ultimate would be a slight buff to both lane and support Lulu but would make it so lategame support Lulu isn't completely stupid with her healing on herself and her allies.

As Teemo player I always found her early level HP being bigger than mine quite disgusting, when she has Polymorph, Wild Growth and range.

I think that reducing her base HP alone could put lane Lulu in spot she deserves. Current nerf is not nearly enough though, to make her on par with similar safe champions it should be 480-ish (or lower because she has even more safety tools than say Lux or Anivia), with 515 she still will be pick-or-ban.

Who plays lulu support?

Players trolling because they didn't get their primary and picked "fill" as secondary and for some reason are surprised they got support.

Edit: I keed I keed.
