Riot won't say that Kalista is OP, but she invalidates a whole class of champs

she may or may not be OP, but as far as any other champ is concerned, she is the leading case of 1 champ that, when picked, invalidates a whole class of champs.

against any other adc, or even champ, you can pick a bruiser that doesn't have a gapcloser or even one that does but isnt loaded with hard CC and get away with it if your good enough. You can take ghost and catch that ADC, or another movespeed steroid.

But against Kalista, there is no way your even going to touch her. Off the top of my head, she makes all these champs unplayable just by being picked.

All of these champs usually do fine against adcs, and some even have gap closers, but none of this matters to Kalista the vengence of mobility creep

Played some Trundle against her...good lord. Dropped my pillar right on her. Dash #1 side stepped the pillar, I got one AA + Chomp off because she dashed towards me to sidestep it, and then dash #2 and she was just gone. I'd have to blow flash if I ever wanted to touch her again and even then, I'd get one more AA and she'd be gone again.

The worst part is that if her initial dash wasn't towards me, I would have never gotten a single hit off.

Sadly, all of the champs you've listed basically have to ignore her in any skirmish or teamfight. Even when snared, having her constantly dash away basically removes any attack speed stat you have since you're only gonna hit her once befores she out of range again.

Ya cause no melee champions have their own gap closers and slows(or stuns). Aatrox Nasus Riven Volibear Zac XinZhao Singed Skarner Olaf Rengar Pantheon Theres more too lazy to add them tho

Just so you know, Kalista can easily dodge Singed, Volibear, Olaf and Skarner because she is not effected by slows.

Nasus could catch her because his slow reduces attack speed. Same with Nunu. Attack speed slows reduce her movement speed. Regular slows have no effect on her, and movespeed buffs are countered heavily by slows, making Volibear basically trash against her (Slow, %HP damage, immunity to slows=Dead Volibear.) She actually dashes farther, faster at a mid-game point then Riven can with her shield dash ~~and~~ triple Q. So unless Kalista is being a derp, she shouldn't be stunned.

Xin Xao though can pop her just by DASH SPEARS!. Skarner could flash+ult, but his ranged slow catch is pointless. Singed can't slow her with his pool, but could probably use a summoners spell to catch her with a snare throw and poison.... but ho would he kill her? He can't lock her down in that.

Warwick deletes her though.

Slows have no effect on kalista, and 1 auto-attack from her she gets away / kites

Ult>Q. Granted, most can't hit with the ult, and she is harder to hit, but it's certainly doable.

Bushes are your friend. Dat stun.

Xin can stick to her and kill her if he gets close enough for even one dash.

Launch into ult.

with Xin ff you cant kill her in one dash she just jump away from you,and you wont catch her, heck even with WW speed boost i cant catch up on her. Silly passive to give ranged champion, jump range should be affected by slowed movespeed

Remember that it is also a team game and that there are a lot of counters to other champs. Kalista is a strong champ in terms of her aa, but her ult is reking her own team unless people are duo'ing. I've seen ults go in sooooo many wrong directions from when they pop out of it. there are a few ranged top laners that could handle her. Just survive laning and push her shit in when it comes to the team fight stage. From what I've seen, unless she gets fed during laning, she sucks in team fights.

Yeah, Xin wins that matchup with his dash. Dash in with his AS steroid and then do the knockup (which, by the way, BOILS away his cooldowns). The whole time, he's healing up from the one AA she managed to get off before he went all-in. Then he just walks away with a successful trade, and Kalista now gets to choose between going home or letting him murder her if he does that same thing again.

Seriously, Xin wins that matchup by actually waiting for her to AA him and then charging because she can't cancel - and ta-da, you catch her mid leap with nothing to do while you full combo her before she hits the ground.

people dont seem to realize that kalista scales with movement speed both ways i have played her enough times now to realize that she is countered by both movement speed slows and attack speed slows. when you slow her movement speed her hop length decreses massively to the point where it really dosent matter that she can jump because she covers basically no ground, then when you reduce her attack speed it massevely slows her auto attack animation, meaning she can jump far fewer times, and the fact that kalista cant cancel her auto attacks is another huge negative. she is extremely high skill cap/floor champ, there is no room for error because mistakes made are extremely punishable. dont just play agianst her, play with her every now and then and you will find that she is actually a bit underpowered atm for various reasons.
