Why were boot enchantments removed?

Pretty sure it was because most ppl just got homeguards anyways and that was changed to be an auto thing anyways. I think Captain's was next most popular maybe and it is included in Elixir of Iron now. so not really a reason to keep enchantments.

Actually the reason why boot enchantments were removed is because they took up to many item slots. DUe to how the shop is coded, riot has a finite amount of items (16x-18x iirc) which can exist within the shop (spanning all game modes). Boots took up .... item 3006 item 3117 item 3009 item 3111 item 3020 item 3047 item 3158 7x6 item slots? 5 enchants, one base. 42 item slots devoted to just boots.

yes they were, several months ago. I believe around the start of Season 7

pretty sure it was season 6 tbh, homeguards fountain at 20 has been around since before season 7.

People got the exact same 2 usually over and over and it wasn't that healthy either IIRC, and most of them were made redundant by being added elsewhere anyways.

It was because one boot enchantment ended up crowding out all of the rest at pretty much any point and all of the other ones hardly got used

the boot upgrades were removed when stupid fkn snek bitch got her change in passive, and every champ got nerfed in a sense to compensate for her change. clearly riot is a bunch of snake worshipers.
