As a support player, i hate thresh. He is the lee sin of the supports

He has an overloaded kit, he is always significant at bot lane doesnt matter if it is early/mid/late, he tanks alot and have more utility than traditional support likeNami Sona Karma Soraka Zilean Lulu , even Janna that was the queen of utility has less. also thresh can build full tank without losing potential on his skills. Sona for an exemple if build tank or like traditional supports her Q and W become almost useless mid/late game, Lulu due the nerfs of her top verson without ap pix, shield, Q and W becomes really lackluster, Janna is ok without ap but still lose some potential of shiled/ad buff and the good ratio of her ult, Karma without ap has only a short ms boost and a situational snare, Zilean has a stun that is terribad to land, an ok ms/slow but his ult ratio is so good that feels an waste dont build ap. Meanwhile Thresh 's kit never lose potential and is also fucking overloaded.

Riot plz nerf the lee sin of supports or put the others on his lv.

Leona and Blitz are more annoying.

Thresh is easier to dodge, and while his lockdown pisses me off, he has to use everything in his kit to keep it that way.

Blitz is such bullshit with a retarded hitbox, and how instant everything happens. And if he fucks up he runs his ass out and shields himself, its insane.

Leona, Dear god I want her to have a reduction somewhere, spamable stun, and the fact you can't hid behind minions against her is stupid too.

Thresh can't do shit if he can't land his Q, and even then if he wants to continue to CC you, he has to yank himself at you putting him out of position in some cases. And given how slow it takes for everything to happen with thresh, you have room to counterplay.

I agree. I hated Thresh so much before going on hiatus, but upon return, he seems so much more manageable. Frankly, I don't know if they nerfed him. But he seems really balanced to me. Yeah, he might have a bit too much going for him-- a dash for an ally plus shield, a solid engage tool, a flexible knockback, and an AOE slow. Also, he gains armor and AP as his ADC farms, and has ranged AA that is augmented by patience. But all of his cooldowns are pretty high, and I find him a lot easier to deal with than Blitzcrank. He seems to tweak the enemy's position, more than completely disrupt it.

I can't tell if serious.

You just said he's always relevant. He can't be nerfed by flat number changes, they would have to throw his kit in the garbage, which is just stupid. Why do you care so much that he has a really good kit? He doesn't have anything terribly surprising or OP; you can expect to get Flayed if you get close, his hook is pretty easy to dodge as far as skillshots go. The most unexpected thing he can do is hook from the fog of war or pull a jungler from over the wall to gank you. He's a top-tier Support, but not really superior to the rest of them up there.

They've even nerfed him before; I know they made his shield only proc on himself and 1 other when it used to be everyone, and I think they nerfed out his Box's damage from walls past the first.

What exactly do you expect them to do? Do you have a solution to your problem?

I think that the most common complaint is of his lantern, and its ability to save allies. Maybe make it easier to block (or stand) ontop of the lantern to prevent the player from being saved as easily. Just throwing ideas at the wall, though.

remove teh snare from his knock up, reduce the stun duration from his hook, reduce the damage from his ult, take away his mr/lv

He doesn't seem that OP to me. If anything, Blitz/Leona seem a lot more op to me than he does. You know why? They can much more reliably initiate. Yeah Thresh can, but it can very much be dodged. At low elo people get hooked all the time. But he really doesn't seem op to me because of the fact that highly skilled players can dodge his hooks a huge amount of the time. So much so that he really has to get close enough to someone to flay them in order to actually score a kill in most situations. And his other abilities, although powerful, are still situational and not just easy wins by pressing buttons by any means.

blitz is one trick ponny and thresh has more cc and damage than leona

How to beat Thresh, Blitz, and Leona.

  1. Pick Alistar
  2. Pick Q at 1
  3. AoE stun when they try to pull you

Granted, Alistar is bad against poke-heavy supports, but if there is one thing he's good at, it's punishing pulls.

Maybe if they took away him being able to pull himself toward a player with his hook, making it harder to set up his ultimate.

I dunno, to be honest. Or maybe change his passive, or take away his MR per level (he's ranged, and most ranged champions don't get MR per level) since he gets armor AND AP with souls.

I don't think Thresh is OP, but his kit does have a lot of tools. Maybe it is not that bad to have a generalist support like him that does a little bit of everything, as long as specialists like Soraka, Braum or Janna get a chance too.

If I had to reduce something in Thresh's kit it would be the ramping up auto attack damage on his E. Why does he have that?

I think I'd remove that too. It makes like zero sense, it only exists to cover up the one weakness he should have which is the lack of poke.

Actually in this matter im all up for buffing teh supports. Sure Thresh sadly has an overloaded kit which will make him relevant even if all his damages gets nerfed to literally 0. But hey he is at least a support who can carry a game on his own by playmaking. Only other support who has the potential for this is Blitzcrank sadly.

Morgana Nautilus

We'd like a word.

Yeah they're not standard supports, but I've played both there before meta (that I knew about) brought them in.

I saw in Morg the counter to Leona's all in CC face-melting, and in Nautilus a more threatening, all-in version of Thresh (back when his level 1 shield did 40 damage on-hit, RIP early trades)

Funny, I don't see a Braum mention. Blocks all projectiles and counters Thresh , but w/e

Braum is fine, he blocks projectiles but he isnt opressive, there is plenty of counterplays for him

thresh is far more manageable and interactive than a shitty champ like blitz. id take a dozen more threshes if we could just remove blitz from the game.

sivir, vayne, morg, braum, and leona off the top of my head counter thresh just like warding counters lee sin. sad that the bronzepunguin has to tell people how to play but ya.

When I initially started playing this game I was a support player an I wasn't a fan of Thresh either. However over time after I switched my primary role from support I learned to appreciate what he actually brings to the table during all phases of the game. After giving him another shot he is a pretty decent support.
