he is in a good spot. however, when the mage update first hit vel'koz was in a kind of a bad spot. his entire kits damage was overall nerfed for a passive that makes him focus on only one person. thats not to mention that his ult didnt proc his passive at the time. a couple of weeks later they reverted the changes but kept the true damage and the nerfs to kit damage for buffs to his passive.

vel'koz is still regarded as one of the most, if not the most, balanced champ in league of legends. he deals damage, shreds tanks and dies pretty fast. simple. so yeah he is in a pretty good spot right now.

why do you want riot to destroy any other champions? and if they did learn from vel, how soon will they revert akali changes? interesting...
