How to snowball/carry with Hecarim?

just an issue i've been having for a long while whenever i play the horse guy

I've never been able to carry a game with him (or at least, very rarely I can) and I can never seem to snowball hard with him from the jungle, either

most people say to go trinity force and then full tank and i'm set, but this feels really odd because unless I go right for squishies, I feel like I do no damage at all (sometimes even to them I feel incredibly weak). It's somewhat better if I grab the Warrior enchant, but still doesn't feel particularly strong. I feel like Cleaver would be a good buy on him because he has good sustained damage and constant AoE, but Trinity takes up his phage slot and he'd probably be better with a lot of immediate pen anyway

what can I do to better press this sort of advantage or to play him in general? would a harder pen item like ghostblade serve me better than warrior, or should I get both and go into two tank items?

just look up videos on youtube of high elo players using Hecarim

I'll suggest searching for videos of Dopa playing Hecarim. He's been #1 in Korean solo queue at times and is right now #2. Hecarim seems to be his go champion for top or jungle.

warrior - trin- full tank, that's all of the damage you need. Take TP smite in jungle, get homeguard, tp into fights, one shot carries, push r.. you win

Your probably going to want to be split pushing until you can find an opportune moment to TP into a fight. In the top lane, take ignite and TP. (herc is one of the few who does not need flash.)

Make use of your ignite to bully your lane and win trades. Try and save your ult for use as an escape, or for starting the teamfight. And yes, you basically need to go for the Glass cannon. But your engage causes so much disruption that the enemy team falls apart. (assuming good followup from your team.)

Tri force is good because hercarim has really short cooldowns. And because it does 200% base damage. (which makes it a good standalone item.) Even with try force, you should still have good DPS. (against anyone except maybe Tank or Juggernaut.)

Can't say much for him Jungle, I usually would think he'd need more items that what the Jungle position could provide. But keep in mind that you can use your ult to engage from unusual angles. (which can throw off people who only ward say, the river.)
