The number of failing vanguard tanks players in low elo is just...staggering these patches.

I have just made it into gold this season triple the speed as of last year. One of the large factors I believe is that people are playing divers which are not only strong this meta, but because I was accustomed to playing with them since my duo partners somehow are always divers.

But on the journey to gold this year, I noticed that quite a majority of "Vanguard" tanks just cant be trusted this patch. One of the factors, is as riot addressed as one of the theme for the upcoming rework, is that they have only one way of winning. That is by CCing as much as enemies with a ult. Yes, it is what makes this class strong, but the problem is if it FAILS. You aint got nothin. It a very high responsibility, and quite high risk as a tank since you will put your team in jeopardy quite harder than any class.

The factors of failing as a vanguard is basically by superior positioning, itemization such as locket or treads, or even...just being plain bad and cant aim at all. The trouble is that ALL of the above can happen and render the vanguard player useless, and I guess that is why divers are just so strong right now since they have more variable options. i hope riot addresses this problem. This class as a whole is becoming obsolete.

(Small fact: Amumu has near 47% winrate in korea opgg now. Which is amazing since he had like 53% winrate straight for 3 whole years in soloque. By the way, the server with the most highest winrate for amumu is NA. You guys teamfight too much in tight positions apparently.)
