Intermediate bots don't have masteries
Give them some keystones, Riot.

But you get keystones at 18? By then you should be in normals only.
Inb4 doombots have all keystones at the same time

Some people don't like the toxicity of PvP, have bad internet, or don't have an hour to dedicate to a full game. Bots allow you to practice mechanics and enjoy the game in a friendlier environment with much less negative impact for disconnecting or suddenly having to run off to sudden real-life events.
A few months ago I was having really bad problems with packet loss. My friends and I still wanted to play League together, but I didn't trust my connection enough for PVP.
We got around this by goofing off in AI games. We'd either use the "ULTIMATE BRAVERY" website to give us champions/builds, or test our own weird combos. Full AS Nautilus, crit Vel'Koz, and AD top-lane Viktor were some of my favourite test-builds. One friend experimented with glass cannon AP Sej, and apparently liked it enough to do it in Normal games for a while.
I still had connection issues, but in the AI games it didn't matter as much, and we had a lot of fun. Now that everything's fixed with my internet, we mainly do PVP, but after particularly discouraging losses, we'll do a derpy AI game or two to relax and have fun.
Exactly! League of Legends is a game, and games are supposed to be fun. After a few losses or frustrating moments, having bots to derp around in is a great way to boost morale again.
As much as I don't mind PvP, I've never been a particularly competitive person. But I love the characters and the gameplay, so I play League regardless. If they had more things for non-competitive players, I'd be happy. For that matter, I actually have several friends who are in the same boat as me- they'd love to play League, but don't want to play PvP. If Riot would put even a little bit more effort into the casual end of their game, they could have way more players.
A wider variety of bots, better AI, and greater levels of difficulty could all go a long way. Best of all, it can be done. Much like how every other MOBA on the planet has better hardcore features such as replays and training modes, most of them also have better casual features such as humanlike AI and testing grounds.
good point, I haven't played bots in months except once because my friend who was new to the game wanted to try it.
Have available masteries scale with the average level of the human team then.

From what I understand, Intermediate AI have runes and masteries equal to that of a level 15 player. If they just upped that to 18, we'd be golden.
Yeah, this would take like what 20 mins to add?
And three weeks (thats the most optimistic estimation) to fix the bugs.
Future patch note: Fixed a bug where any Keystone activated by Azir became a permanent effect.

I'd be happier if they were able to use flash again. Or teleport.
Theyre level 15...
They don't have masteries because their bots, I mean it would be a nice feature but they're meant for learning, if you want to play against someone with masteries just play normals

I believe intermediate bots did have masteries until season 6, though.
