Ignore this guy. He is a draven player who throws around insults that aren't even true to try and act high minded but he can't even come up with a good argument outside of a champ being a generalist. Since I'm making these claims I'll help you out some. Thresh may seem like a generalist, but due to his large mana costs and cool downs, until late game, when his tank build, which is the only viable one, falls off, he is much more of a two way street. What I mean by this is his abilities must be used to either peel or initiate, and to address the "no skill" argument to do so he must land a hook. While rooted in place, so one must predict the movement of an enemy, toss a lantern, predicting your allies movement to maximize efficiency, and flay, which is pretty easy. Because thresh only has for abilities, and they all must be used in tandem, or all together towards one cause, and each ability is skill based, no point and click anything, thresh must take a gamble, bringing strategic difficulty into the mix as well. Thresh is still strong, I must admit, so I won't argue viability, but how much skill is needed, is a different matter entirely.
