Because she's an obnoxious champion. Apart from CD's, she has no meeningful reason to not use abilities. Whether it's to get to lane, trading, outrunning your opponents, ect. At least Zed, and I dislike him as a champion, has to deal with energy and can't just spam his spells forever.

Riven's really not that hard to lane against. Unless you pick a champ she counters, that is. Even so, I don't think most people would mind giving her a resource, so long as she's compensated. And you have to keep the animation cancelling.

Bad riven's aren't hard to lane against. Riven as of right now is WAY too safe of a pick. Apart from Darius Garen and Fiora, all of which are almost always banned, her and Irelia are just dumb champions to play against.

i dont get all the downvotes. Compared to all the "juggernauts" riven really isnt that bad. Annoying, absolutely. So annoying she needs gutted? Nope. As Renekton i never lose to a riven, as Wukong its a fair fight. As renekton or wukong i always lose to garen and most always lose to darius

Followed by, we forgot to put this in the patch notes or the pbe but were lowering eve's Q speed to 100 and dropping the ratio further while removing 50 base hp.

don't worry though we added an extra 1% slow increase on her ult to help with those early clears and ganks.

They've confirmed now that the Riven changes won't even be a flat nerf, too. Think it was wishful thinking on the OP's part.

They said experimental changes in regards to Riven.Which I hope involves getting rid of her animation canceling and changing how some of her skills work.Right now she just feels miserable to play as if your ping isn't good enough to reliably animation cancel...and a nightmare to play against if the person using her is capable of doing the animation canceling.Too much of her power budget is now tied up in the canceling and it irritates me to no end since you shouldn't have to fight with controls just to be able to reliably use your champion.

Seems nice. Too bad the Vayne nerfs will only affect her early game (I think). Still I am sick of having the 0/15 Vayne suddenly kill my team just because he is playing Vayne. Still Riot have been very hypocritical lately and they may mess this up so we shall see. Glhf in game friend :3

Ah the good old days. I actually started playing League during Vayne release. 55%-75% Qs, 210 base damage per E proc, and 120 MS on her ult.

I think Vayne is more problematic than Riven. Problem with Riven is that there are tons of people who get stomped by a good Riven player.

Vayne Base attack damage lowered to 50.46 from 53.46 Attack damage growth increased to 3.5 from 3.25

We get this for now.

It's only a buff at later levels outside of the laning phase.

Riven is just 1 nerf away to be completly unviable btw. She already is in a bad spot and another nerf after the movementspeednerfs+q nerfs+ ult nerfs (while people ALREADY stopped playing riven in higher elo BEFORE the movementspeednerfs because she suckz LOL) will completly delete her. But thats what the community wants I guess, even though her kit is one of the best designed kits in the game. Meh, enjoy your toplane meta with garen and darius and other noskill tanks with more damage then riven and overpowered itemization and point and click abilities. Btw, taking away the animation canceling in rivens kit would make her a lot easier to play, so low elo games would be dominated even more from her, it would be hilarious to see all the qq after the removal of that and the compensation buffs in other parts of her kit. It would be a complete nightmare for the people who cried for nerfs because they would just getting stomped more.

Vayne nerf is on the PBE right now - check Surrenderat20.net. Riven changes aren't on the PBE, but you can look up ricklessabandon on Twitter if you want to see him mention them.
