Are there any left? I had to drop her after the rework. I feel like Riot intentionally forced her into the support role.

I still do ever once in a while. She really cant go far midlane tho until Riot fixes her Plants HP and her so ez to dodge root.

Just love dropping a Ult on 3+ plants to have them all be dead before they get one auto attack off.....

She has good win rate botlane as support so riot is just ignoring her. Pisses me off so much.

I played yesterday mf against a zyra, I oneshot her bc I oneshot a plant through a Q and apply to her DH. I fell really sorry for zyra main but her plant are really weak in a lot of scenario. Also ivern aa also oneshot zyra plant despite the fact that he became ranged going into a bush.

I've played Zyra considerably, and you're wrong. Her Root is like any other skill shot, except it can go through minions and root anyone taking refuge behind them. It deliberately punishes players who think they can try to hide. To add to this, it's an amazing tool to bully the lane, as she can stall out the wave super easily to allow her minions to gain more lane pressure.

Furthermore, while her plants do have low HP, it takes ranged characters twice to KO them, and melees once. So if she's against ranged mages, they can't easily dispense with her plants. As for ulting, a good Zyra doesn't allow her enemies to know where she's planting seeds BEFORE she ults. It's incredibly feasible, and I've done it on many occasions, where you RWWQ so that the plants spawn just as the pop up from the ult is occurring, and it generally shreds most squishies you catch in it. It gives them no time to react to the plants you spawn either, so they can get multiple hits off on your enemies.

So fyi her root is ez to dodge. Her plants are one shoted by a lot of abilities. Midlane is full of a ton of melee and or low CD mobile champs that all can take out her plants very fast or at no cost to them (AOE attacks) In Team fights her Ulted plants die as collateral damage to all the AOE that happens. Her AP ratios suck so she HAS to build Pen first.

She is classed as #2 support under Brand (who is also #13 mid while Zyra is not in the top 30 or mid) only because of her aggressive and damage + wave pushing play. She counters some of the other top supports. She needs a good front line else she is dead so it very reliant on her team. Before she could carry now she cant.

I've been playing since 2014. She was like the second champion I ever bought after Lissandra. I know how Zyra works. Please refrain from ad hominem attacks if you're trying to hold a conversation.

Her root is dodgable. But so is literally every skill shot in the game. Hence being called a skill shot. A skill shot being able to be dodged is not exclusive to Zyra. Her plants are NOT one shotted by a lot of abilities, not unless the enemy firing them at you is considerably ahead of you, or melee. Midlane is full of melees, yes. AOE also doesn't one shot her plants unless the enemy is ahead - additionally, melee champions are required to be in melee range of your plants to kill them. If you root them, they can't get close enough, and you can kill them from afar. In team fights, lots of things die from collateral AOE. Literally no other minion master in this game is immune to their pets dying from collateral AOE in team fights. I fail to see how this is a point that is somehow exclusive to Zyra. Her AP ratios are low, and she does have a rough early game. However, that is the way she is designed, just like how Pantheon is designed to fall off hard once late game hits. It's part of their balance.

So far, you've yet to demonstrate particularly problematic flaws with Zyra that aren't the result of the meta that is crippling towards pretty much all immobile mages, like Brand and Xerath. A meta not favoring a champion doesn't mean there's necessarily a problem with that champion.

Im not attacking you. Im stating that your view point is limited by your rank and your experience with Zyra.

If you played her pre rework you would know how her plants worked and how viable her was. Also because of that would see why she is NOT viable now.

Heimerdinger Here is how her plants HPs should be. His Turrets all live through team fights unless targeted specifically.

There are, but they are few and far between. Zyra has a different playstyle than other mids, I think. I also think mobility creep's leaking back in which is a bane to one of the squishiest immobile champs in the game.

She did get some changes, however, along with Morgana, I believe? They were meant to give players more agency in where they went with the two. I believe Morg got some CD refund on her W when you triggered her psuedo-Spell-Vamp passive (on champs, large minions and monsters)

Zyra's changes, I think, revolved around getting progress on seed charges if you killed certain minions or champions. It also made ulted plants tankier. Have you player her since the end of last season? That's when they changed her. 7.24

Not a zyra mid main but I play it often when I want to be a lane bully. It actually feels great to use and I never understood the "forced to support" thing. You can kill someone off a q w poke and then can basically kill anything if you land snare and your basic ult combo + ignite. You can push and punish LB easily as well as trade kills with talon if you play it safely

Generally stopped playing on Zyra. Since on the middlane, it no longer brings that pleasure after the "pseudo rework", but merely the accumulated irritation. As a support, I have never seen it, and in general I still think that it is disgusting for this position, because it dies very, very quickly.In general, while Riot does not change the attitude towards her and will cease to consider her a support, I will probably not play on her.

She's a really strong counter to hook style champions like thresh, pyke, or blitzcrank as a support due to being able to instantly grow a plant in front of herself to block hooks. Frequently rooting the hooking champion at the same time and setting them up for counter damage.

This case depends on the skill, and I would not say that it works well against such champions, it can outrun Tresh, but Pyke will be harder for me. She just never was interesting to me in this role, I played. No farm, no necessary items. Not my style. If you need a poke zone mage, then Vel’koz, Brand or even a Fiddle like here more.
