I just had a massive brainwave for a support item

essentially it'd be the support's bork. healing and shields gets increased based on a % of an ally's max health. not a flat add on, but stronger heals and shields will benefit more from this. also to stop it from being a must buy on soraka the % decreases as it's used, and builds back up after a time spent not healing.

how's that sound? too close to the new athene's?

Personally, I don't like it, and don't think it's necessary. It's very similar to a couple items.item 3504 item 3107 With these in the items, I don't think we'd need that. Also, you have to remember that supports want strong base buffs on their heals and shields, or items that use the supports health pool instead, like item 3401 . The reason for this is because marksmen have a low hp pool, making the item inefficient on them if it uses percentage like item 3109 .

ay can see that, though sometimes the tank needs protecting too, they're not invincible to some tough love from the support.

Such an item would likely force a Tank meta. (And crys OP will be made) Really, getting more healing for the tank, really should fall on the tanks themselves. (But they got Spirit Visage for that. )

Personally, I would like to increase in rescue healing. That "Increased heal by x% based on HP missing." Though since that is already worked into the kits of most healers, I wouldn't expect to see such an effect on an item.

well it doesn't directly scale with health, it adds power to the shield's base power based on applied ally health, perhaps even missing hp if you like. I dunno I've always toyed with the idea of an ap version of bork for supports that scales well into lategame situationally.
