So I just found out Jhin's E trap bounces off Yasuo's Wind Wall

Why? Is there a particular reason for this? When Teemo throws a trap and it hits Wind Wall, the mushroom disappears. However, when Jhin throws his trap at Wind Wall, the trap just falls on the ground and becomes active. Can we make this interaction consistent? Whether it be that Teemo's trap also bounces off the wall, or Jhin's disappears as well.

You cannot destroy art.

Either that or Jhin's trap is never calculated as a projectile.

Much like Cait's trap or Nid's trap just plops on the ground. Jhin's does too. There's just a flair of animation there.

But why make an animation of him throwing it it it's not a projectile? :/

Because it's Jihn, do we really need to explain why he has a fancy over the top animation for plopping a grenade down?

It just seems kind of weird to me that it's not treated like a projectile while Teemo shrooms are since the throwing animation is so similar. Though I didn't consider Jinx grenades either which someone mentioned above also go through Wind Wall. There just seems to be a lack of clarity when it comes to traps as projectiles. Caitlyn's visually make sense to me since they just appear where she clicks. But the animation makes it seem like Jhin's trap is a projectile...

But if it was Cait or Nidalee, their traps would still land where they click. Jhin's stops when it hits the wall. It can't just be the animation then...

Cait and Nidalee's traps are not projectiles, Jhin's trap is (you can clearly see the projectile when throwing it).

The fact that Teemo's mushrooms are destroyed instead of being placed at the wall is just an example of different (older in the case of Teemo) coding giving inconsistent results than what would be expected.

Same thing happen's with Jinx's traps, so I still get my zoning with her. I think it's a small thing, but hopefully Riot will make it more consistent in the future.

Actually now that I think about it, Jinx's traps still go where she clicks. But Jhin's purposefully stops at the wall. This is really weird... Jk, I was mistaken. Both get stopped by the wind wall.

According to the wiki page I linked for the Projectile term, that is a Negative, sir. Jinx's traps fall next to the wall.

teemo 'throws' or 'tosses', according to the gameinfo page, the vid presenting it also shows an arched throw, the shroom goes higher than teemo, I guess therefore making it a projectile jhin 'places', again according to the gameinfo page. the vid shows him bending down his tall skinny figure and depending on how far he's positioning it, it will slide a bit, making it look like it was thrown. I think this is more like the shaco box, is that also placed through the wind wall?

Shaco box isn't a projectile so no. It just gets placed wherever Shaco places it similar to a Caitlyn or Nidalee trap. My only question is then that if Jhin's E isn't a projectile, then why does it have a special interaction that other traps don't? His will get stopped and activate wherever it hit the wind wall. But champions like Caitlyn who place a trap have it go to where they click regardless of the wall and champions who throw traps like Teemo have their traps completely disappear.

http://leagueoflegends.wikia.com/wiki/Projectile so here there are 3 types of interaction, besides a velkoz bug: passing over or under, dropping to the ground beside the wall, and destroyed when they hit the wall (even during the formation of the wall >_> WHYYYY)

The following projectiles are not destroyed when they hit Wind Wall.png Wind Wall and their units will drop to the ground beside the wall: [...] Jhin's Captive Audience

Same page says shaco's boxes are also blocked o_O and cait's and nida's traps not being mentioned, I'm assuming they go through. Am not seeing Teemo's noxious trap either, but I think that does get destroyed, so maybe the wiki is out of date. But at least it answers your consistency question.
