After how much fun I had completing all of the missions in Invasion...

I go back to play a match on Summoner's Rift and lose, which isn't a big deal since I hadn't played a normal in a while, but then the enemy Xayah not only says "ggez lmao" at end of game but continues to elaborate "that was f****** easy lol" in post game. It really saddens me how prevalent this attitude of having fun putting others down has become in League, and I wish Riot would try harder to change it. I do understand that of course players will be more competitive in a PvP mode than a PvE mode, but this should not be the norm.

You shouldn't let those two letters affect you so much.

I actually quit league for a couple months because of how shitty some other players were. I mean, seriously; I don't get on to put up with that shit.

They get mad because they lost, and then suddenly it's everyone else's fault and scrubs need to "git gud". Or they just want to make your feel like crap, so they can feel like king nerd, or whatever they're trying to do. In my case, I was trying out a new character, and the ringleader decides that everything going wrong with the game is on me. Then the rest of the team piggybacks on, I assume because they didn't want to get bitched out or criticized. Thing is, the game was honestly salvageable; but then they started getting on me about something (so long ago I can't remember specifics) and I get flustered. I screw up more because of all the attention, and then everyone's dog-piling on how the entire thing is going south because of me. It became an echo-chamber and I was their scapegoat. Still salty; how does demoralizing your own team help anything?

Unfortunately there is only so much Riot can do on their own, and they know full well that they can't fully remove toxicity from the game as there will always be players looking to act like a Vicky*. However, compared to earlier seasons toxicity is arguably less prevalent than before thanks to systems like the IFS and players in general stepping up and taking a more aggressive stand against problem players and behaviors.

*Vicky is a character from The FairlyOdd Parents. An evil babysitter, she thrives on the suffering of others and can't stand it when people are happy.

Nah they'd rather ban people who say "Dont build armor against velkoz" than the people who spam racial slurs and "gg ez" everygame

I forgot to mention one thing in my previous post on this two days ago. That is there is one way you can deal with these type of people. Simply say "congrats to you, would you like a cookie? Or is there some other reward you can think of to boost that ego of yours" :D

you think thats bad, try having to deal with someone through an entire match being toxicly salty on a level that lets normal salty players look like innocent saints and it was all because someone else used the champion he or she wanted to use and he or she didn't even say anything about it until it was too late. No surprise that riot has done nothing about it.

I don't think it has anything to do with being more competitive. Saying ggez and omg that was so fucking easy, is not being competitive, that's just being a douche.

You can't change other people's inherent behavior. However, you can change how offended you are by it. Don't rely on Riot or any other entity to be able to change inherent human behavior. Look at how well it worked for Overwatch. It is making mainstream news lately on how toxic it is despite all of Blizzard's attempts to cater to the whiners and SJW's.

play blind pick, the only time gg ez is used, is when it's used as a complete meme.
