With how different his new base model is, I think it would be a good idea to give Galio a traditional skin. I know one has not been made in a long time, but this visual rework is such a departure from the original character model that I think a traditional skin would be warranted. This would appease both those who like old Galio's design and those who like new Galio's design. :)

Yeah, I don't honestly think Riot will do anything about this which kind of sucks. :( Even a chroma in his old color scheme would be a nice way to hearken back to his old design.

Forbidden Siren1 votesWhile it wasn't an intense change like Galio or even Trundle, Fiora/Taric were stripped of their armor and Sion lost his barbaric bones armor (which is understandable due to the Chinese censorship), they took away their signature look of the old that could've warrant a traditional skin. Similar to Sejuani's bikini outfit and Karma's full body dress.
There was a huge uproar when Fiora got her updated visual. It was so bad they had to adjust her hair and face to be close to her former self just to make people happy when they couldn't and wouldn't make a Traditional skin.

Regardless of our differing opinions, they won't be making another Traditional skin. They haven't made one for a long time now. Karma, Trundle and Sejuani will always be the only three to have the Traditional skins.

Forbidden Siren3 votesGangplank is certainly a weird one, as it's not really a traditional skin (it doesn't contain his previous voice over like the other traditional skin), the name isn't named "Traditional" and it isn't Legacy like the other. It's a skin that's meant to be for an event and was given out for free during the event due to the backlash of disabling GP for a week or so.
Edit: I do agree it's certainly a traditional-sequel skin. That's why a lot of Fiora fans, at least during the controversy, are hoping for a full body armor with a three point cape skin again, even if it's a separate skin and not traditional.

Galio looks pretty freaking different. Certainly more different than when Sejuani, Trundle, and I would say even Karma reworks were. Look at Google Images to see comparison pictures of all the champions you list next to their traditional skins and you will recognize that they all keep the same face and color scheme. The only thing this new Galio has in common with his current form is that they're both a gargoyle? Gargoyles take many different forms. Before Galio's build was akin to that of an imp, now he looks like the statue of a Power Ranger.
I don't think it's really fair to make an argument that Galio's rework looks like it barely changed the champion because it certainly did. That's why I say a Traditional Galio skin would be a good idea so that those who like this new direction for Galio can have it while those who prefer his current design can also be satisfied by equipping the traditional skin.

The point of a skin is to give the champion a new look, not new lore. I realize it's not that likely, but I think in this case it would certainly be warranted.

Its not really about what his theme is, its about his look, and before he was blue and yellow and flew and looked goofy with the huge arms and short little legs, they made him one color with a very supermanesque symbol on his chest made out of gold and all of that is fine, but I want the old color scheme back because i don't like monochromatic champions all that much, also, this is the most different champion update since karma and as I remember karma players felt like she was ruined with that change.

Laziness. They basically said it's not worth the effort since it would be given away for free to those who already owned the champion. Considering they're effectively removing Galio's image completely from the game without a trace, I would be fine with paying for the traditional skin. I just want them to make one. Seriously, why would they think this design isn't cool enough to stay in the game in some form?
