Jayce and Cait mind you consistently shit on everything yet no action is taken. The nerfs on Jayce wont do jackshit with the lethality buffs.

I play fkn pantheon into jayce he misses 2 fkn Q's ( canon )yet we go even on the fkn trade even if i perfectly rotate my aegis. LIKE WTF am i suppsoed to do pick fkn XERATH top so i dont get near him for the entire game is that the fkn counterplay? everyone and their mother abuses this scrublord champ better nerf some random shit first not like people complain about this fkn thing that doesnt get outscaled till 5 damn items. Oh its not like the game end in 20 minutes atm. Oh camp him yeh! camp him !! waste 10fkn minutes tryna camp a jayce and give the enemy fbtower dragons herald a virgins blood the excalibur and the ring of youth.

tough matchup, it really just depends on whether or not you can all in him at 2/3 with ignite cheese. If you do, you win the lane, if not well, more than likely he is going to poke you off skarl at which point you are 1/2 of a champ, and a weak one at that.

Jayce is a lane bully, that is literally what he was designed for. The only thing you can do vs a jayce is play safe, and call the jungler to your aid if he is always pushed. Poppy, Maokai, and Naut are the 3 best choices in my opinion that are not terrible into jayce. Kennen can be a counter pick if played correctly. And with Quinn making a slight comeback with the lethality changes, I can see a lot of AD carries in the top lane. I mean, Arm pen riven is just disgusting. And some have been taking Arm Pen Renekton top lane too. The lane bullies are coming back.

The term carry has always been about Kog, Tristana, Vayne, Yi - DPS based champions that you can build a protection comp around. But Jayce works completely different and scales completely differently aswell. With Jayce you want to take first turret and then rotate and take turret after turret - while other (read: actual) hypercarries want to turtle until they 1v5 with Lulu and the like.

The inflationary usage of the term "hypercarry" would make it lose all of it's meaning. So even if you want to have a less strict meaning Jayce would still not be a hypercarry. However, you could make a point for Cass/Azir as they both have DPS comparable to traditional hypercarries and have similiar spikes aswell.

Hypercarry doesnt apply to just AD or AA based champs.

Azir Cassiopeia Karthus (maybe?) all fit the mold of needing items before outputting a metric shit ton of consistent DPS

Hypercarry's aren't always DPS. Mages like Lux, Brand, and Ryze are notoriously powerful during the latest stages of the game because of their massive burst.

Just like Jinx and Vayne are hypercarries because of their AS scalings, Riven can be considered a hypercarry solely because her AD scaling is out the ass.

Riven is an early / mid game champion, and so is lux. Brand scales pretty well, he might be close to Kayle / Cass / Azir / Karth.

Riven deals 150% AD on-hit with her passive, and has a +20% bonus AD multiplier from her ult (as well as an execute). With at least 240 bonus AD at full build, that exponential scaling makes her an extremely powerful source of bursty and mobile physical damage.

When Lux hits 40/45% CDR with Morello, Zhonya's, and the right rune page, she can use her ultimate every 30/27.5 seconds for up to 1000 damage. At a massive range with linear AoE. Late-game, she prevents fights all by herself with her range and massive poke.

Yes. But any of these other champions COMPLETELY out do them. There are several champions that once they hit 2 items, they just win against these champions. They're mid game oriented, and don't scale worth anything.

A riven pretty much loses if she goes even with a Jax, or a Kayle. Poppy can fight her at all points in the game, Darius beats her at a couple of items, 2 item Nasus (Which is another mid game carry), Irelia beats her past level 9, Kled wins 2 items +, heck, even vi problably wins at 2 items. Hyper scale? No. Snowballs? Yes.

How about lux? She has 250 + 70%, 240 + 60%, 500 + 75% and a passive that deals 190 + 20% ap. Assuming 500 AP, she does 1180 Base + 1350 scaling burst + TLD. Over half of her damage is base damage, and she spikes at level 11 being her biggest source of damage. She doesn't hyperscale worth crap.

Compare that to a Kayle. 260 + 100% AD + 60% AP, 90 + 45% Ap (On AA), + 75 + 50% AP (Lichbane) Kayle happens to have 600 AP, and does 3600 burst damage. Even if i gave lux 600 or 700 Ap, she doesn't compare to this with her entire combo. Kayle has a much faster rotation and follow up AA's with rageblade. (This is assuming a burst build, with an AOE build she does 1200 DPS. 2 seconds and she outdoes Lux's entire burst that goes on a 6 second cd.)

Okay, now compare her to Karthus. Since he's more of an AOE mage. 120 + 30% ap on a .6 CD. + 110 + 30% ap per second, and 550 + 60% Ap. Assuming an ap based build, Karthus does around 600 AOE DPS.

Both do significantly more than lux. She doesn't hyperscale because her ratios are too low, Cooldowns too long, and doesn't have enough scaling.

He's a lane bully and a team fight bully and a skirmish bully and a school yard bully. You cant play safe vs Jayce because he has a million ways to engage on you without you having any time to react.

the issue is that jayce has some of the best base stats in the game, some of the highest range and scalings. his siege is on par with that of ziggs, his laning phase is strong, his team fight is decent, his split push is good. he has no real weaknesses outside of just being flat out murdered by someone with more damage which is situational at best.

first building armor will always be slower than building damage because even if armor is cheaper it doesnt help you farm or get kills. Armor has worse stats than damage and has diminishing returns. armor is balanced to be worse than damage regular to keep tanks from being unkillable caitlyn builds crit which armor isnt balanced for she also head shots every other shot which armor also isnt balanced for item 3071 is meta in every game which armor isnt balanced for item 3035 not even necessary but armor isnt balanced for that either.

And do what? A decent Jayce player will just take full control of the lane if you dont stop him early, have fun getting near creeps vs a champion who has both insane poke/range and high all-in melee damage

by the 40min farm, Jayce will be 200 CS ahead of you and you'll be useless because you got goldstarved trying not to die, while Jayce while be trying to push his advantage to other lanes by roaming after shoving the wave

The problem with Jayce is usually champions of his nature have high skill floors and low consistency to make up for their strength of power.

Jayce is far too consistent for the amount of power he provides when he's strong.

It's the same reason Yasuo, Lee, Riven, and other said champions are complained about so much.

They are meant to be strong when fed, but inconsistent. If they are strong and always work then something has gone horribly horribly wrong.

Yeah that Darius nerf was completely uncalled for. I don't mind Jayce too much, and Cait is just annoying but not too strong. But if Darius needs nerfs then they should both be gutted hard because they do what Darius does but way worse.
