So what's the best method for playing into an Irelia?

I mean usually I just ban her every game when it's my turn to ban, but when someone doesn't, she gets picked instantly and snowballs the game. Every. Single. Time. Her early game damage is extremely powerful and she's got decent sustain, her stun is very poorly shown in when she can stun you and when she can't, and mid game she's just a bruiser that doesn't die with carry levels of damage. How do you deal with this? Even if you don't feed kills in lane she'll eventually just get the items to tower dive you solo or with her jungler. This champ just seems unapproachable in a lot of ways.

you can really only counterpick her. Renekton and Illaoi work well for me

I'd probably just passively CS as about as close to tower without aggro as I can, and call for heavy early ganks to stomp on her early pressure first.

Just pick a champ that doesn't lose early but also outscales her. Or just pick a hardcore lane bully. Champs that I can almost never beat are: Darius Garen Graves Illaoi Pantheon Nasus Mordekaiser

You might add Voli to the last of frustrating to beat. But Voli does have to watch out for her bursting him before his passive is actually able to be effective once level 6.

Also Cho is another one that is frustrating since Irelia really can't burst him fast enough while he also has the CC to make Irelia unable to react to some things fast enough. Also he has decent sustain.

counterpick.....But how do you actually beat her with your main? She has 0 weaknesses. Mid lane she has 3k health, 200+ AD, kills squishy _and _tanky champs ..she can easily do a 1v5 and turn a gank around, how is she not nerfed?
