I know that Class wide reworks are great and all...

But I really feel that there needs to be more smaller scope reworks for champions that really need them. One example of a champion like this is Aatrox. While he is scheduled for changes in the diver update, it is also possible that riot might look at wardens first, as opposed to divers. This would delay changes that he desperately needs even longer. In short I believe that riot should have a team to work on small reworks with changes that are in the scope of a singular big 4 change in a roster rework. This would mean that champions like Aatrox, but also Kalista, and Azir can get the changes that they desperately need quicker, instead of being left in the dust for 2 or 3 seasons as they are being posed to be.

Is it divers or fighters for him?

Or did they just say screw it and mix divers and fighters?

Fighters refers to Divers and Juggernauts. They already did Juggernauts, so this is the other fighter update.

What I'm worried about is that they'll get to Divers... and do with Aatrox like they did with Akali. Small changes and say "Omg he needs way more changes than a class update could provide." and not really do much with him.

They had said that he was going to have big changes during the rework, and that he didn't need a full vgu since his visuals are up to date. Compare to Akali where her visuals and her kit are out of date, and need large scale changes.

I'm not saying "omg rito buff aatrox". Aatrox probably was a bad example. I should have used Azir or Kalista as their roles already had respective class updates which means that they are going to get left in the dust until riot finished reworking every role.

Luckily for you in that case that they're going to look at all three by 6.24 supposedly^^

Like I said, small changes to make then slightly less shit until their reworks, which could happen 1 to 2 seasons later.

Med scope updates were too hit and miss so they stopped them (Shen). I don't see anything wrong with a love-tap until they can actually fix them, otherwise they'll end up like Mord :/

I get that shen rework was bad. I'm more talking about smaller scope reworks like roster changes, but only for one champion. Shen had the same problems as morde or skarner, he needed more work but didn't get it. He also didn't immediately need work. Champions like Aatrox, Kalista, or Azir probably need less work then Shem did. Honestly I don't see how Kalista or Azir could get any work in the future seeing as how both of their roles already received reworks.

Yeah I know, just Shen was... yeah. They're kinda doing what you're saying in the OP, but it's not a formal "rework" is how I'd put it? IDK how to say it.

As they did with the supports, they're picking out certain champs that need attention (Master Yi, Yasuo, Shyv, Shen, Azir, Kalista, Alistar, Aatrox etc.) and addressing them.

Alistar... Wait I know how they can fix this. In the next roster update alongside the divers/tanks they could do an unrelated champion that needs work, like what they did with the assassins and alistar.

LostFr0st1 votes

Maybe? I think they read your mind; they seem to just be throwing in these champs whenever they have any extra bandwidth and it's pretty exciting.

They're currently making changes for kal and azir next patch (after assassin update).

It was hard to pinpoint the actual issue with these champions and fix them without ruining or busting them.

They had said that these champions are going to be weak until they get future work. These changes are probably just going to make the champions slightly less unplayable
