Wow another comment complaining about soloQ posts

I mean, this could happen in higher elos.... but there's more than enough players in silver/bronze so there's no excuse.

WukongMain7 votes

You should probably quit crying cause 3 of the enemies may or may not have a lil extra co-operation.

You play ranked to test yourself. to push the limits To Test Yourself.

This is Ranked. This isn't a place for crybabies.

The Deckowner9 votes

dynamic queue really tests my skill with my bot lane keep losing lane due to enemy bot lane having voice communication. I crushed my lane opponent but have to basically 1v3 the enemy top mid and jg since bot lane is getting destoryed by voice communicated coordinations and they don't need to gank it, that really tests my skill. well spoke sir

Awoof2 votes

To be fair, that might as well happened against non-premades anyways.

The Deckowner2 votes

except against non premade the enemy bot lane is simply better than your bot lane, but against premade the enemy bot lane is probabaly just abusing voice communication advantage which is unfair.

Anags3 votes

Guess what.. duo bot on Skype has been a thing forever. It is nothing new. You could do it well before DQ. So please stop with these bs posts

The Deckowner2 votes

In solo queue you can only have 1 duo in a team and they will always be matched against another duo.

SirSmokeysAlot1 votes

That's not true. You could have 2 Duos And A SOLO On The Enemy team. Get your shit straight bb.

The Deckowner2 votes

source?

and even if that was possible, duos were discourged by rito and the number of duos in solo queue was not nearly close to the amount of premades in dynamic queue.

SirSmokeysAlot1 votes

Lol. Duos were not discouraged so long as you were near same mmr. As for source I've been playing since season 1 and I can remember a couple times it was me and buddy duod and when we got to talking we had another duo on the team.

The Deckowner2 votes

op.gg says otherwise. you are silver season5 and you were never ranked in previous seasons lmao.

Nameless Voice4 votes

This happens all the time, why is that surprising?

You're thinking of the figures that Riot gave about how rare it is for five solo players to be matched against a five-player premade team. That is the only situation that they gave numbers for.

Full solo teams vs teams with some premade players happen all the time.

The Deckowner6 votes

I'm just surprised by how Rito was completely lying and how broken the system was. I knew it was broken but I didn't expect it to be that broken. Literally just last day I faced a double duo team as full solo, now I'm facing 3man premades as full solo, literally happening on a daily basis.

Nameless Voice5 votes

Where were they lying? They never said that you don't get matched as a team of solos vs a team of 3.

Also, how exactly would it be better if you also had a team of three on your own team? Wouldn't you still be a solo player against a premade?

The Deckowner5 votes

they said a non 5man premade has <1% chance of not matching against a team of the same size. also if my bot lane is also a premade they shouldn't feed this hard, by my observation they aren't really mechanically worse than the enemy bot lane duo.

they said a non 5man premade has <1% chance of not matching against a team of the same size.

Notice how that's not a 0% chance.

Now go Cry elsewhere, no one else cares

The Deckowner4 votes

small possibilities are meaningless when only a small sample size is presented, but it happened to me twice in less than 10 games, the percentage is clearly higher rito id just lying.

FrozenShogun7 votes

So if there are 10 marbles in a bag and 5 are red and 5 are blue and I pull 1 out at a time and put it back after grabbing it and I do it 10 times and pull 8 red and 2 blue that means that someone lied about me having a 50/50 chance right? Or doesn't it mean the sample size I used is too small? just because it happened to you twice in less than 10 games doesn't mean they lied. It means that you got unlucky and pulled another red.

The Deckowner5 votes

that is a cheating logic in your example you are RANDOMLY picking up marbles, the result is COMPLETELY RANDOM. Meanwhile the matchmaking system is a logical system that has built in settings. it isn't just randomly picking up marbles, it KNOWS which marble is red and which marble is blue and it should PURPOSELY try always get the same amount of red and blue. What dynamic queue has done is vastly increase the amount of one marble making the system unable to make sure you have a 50/50 chance.

FrozenShogun6 votes

It isn't cheating logic because my example isn't about the method of the statistics, it's pointing out the viewpoint. You're calling rito a liar just because your view of the results are 2/10 so their % must clearly be wrong, when in reality it very well could just be a small sample size and that it will even out in the long run, aligning with the statistics they labeled.

The Deckowner2 votes

if the <1% chance is true, there is 0.0096%(count it as 1% chance of unfairly match) of getting 2 unfairly matched game in 6 games. when the odd stack so unevenly, and it still happened, it is really reasonable to question if the given chance is much lower than the actual chance.

I mean, IT IS POSSIBLE, but the odd makes it seems SUSPICIOUS.

B1naryB0t1 votes

I recommend a high school statistics class. The statistics in your marble scenario would be that eventually the results even out around 50/50 because it's completely blind, and therefore relatively random. That's something I don't want in my ranked games, a randomness of premades. The point of the DynamicQ system is that it knows where the premades are and where to allocate them for the theoretically best scenario.

And besides, 50/50 is a theoretical probability. If Riot is releasing theoretical data, then it's not data. It's bullshit.

macromite1 votes

ye, that's what it's doing. its putting them where it can fit them. the system is playing the hardest game of tetris ever, just be happy queue times aren't 30 minutes long.

B1naryB0t1 votes

Except in this case it has thousands of pieces to choose from to make the best match. So in low elo there's no excuse for that.

Also, the tetris game would be a hell of a lot simpler if every piece was just a 1x1 square.

macromite1 votes

it would also be the most boring game of tetris ever

Spacesuit Spiff4 votes

I got 2 gemstones in my first 3 chests so clearly everyone else is wrong, the odds of a gemstone are 2/3.

I got no gemstones in the next 7, so clearly they're impossible to get.

As for the thread as a whole, premades dont autowin a game. Silver games are decided by the weakest player in the game, not tiny advantages like trios or lane matchups. Such low-level games are always winnable so stop looking for an excuse to lose.

macromite1 votes

play 10 000 games, then use that as your sample.

small samples are inherently misleading. if i flip a coin ten times I might get ten heads. doesn't mean that there isn't a tails.

The Deckowner1 votes

If you have 10000 cards in a deck, which was claim to be fully random and has only 1 joker, you draw a card then shuffle it, rinse and repeat for 6 times and you got 2 jokers, you don't really need to do it 10000 times to realize there is something wrong with either the deck or the statement.

Nobody claimed this deck was random, that was your own assumption. Even crits are not actually random. This too was your own assumption if you thought this was the case.

random in terms of drawing the card..

random in terms of drawing the card..

even if random actually existed, the deck your thread about isn't guaranteed to be 100% random. Nobody promised you this.

macromite1 votes

even if it is 100% random, that's what random means. it means that any draw can be anything, even the same as last draw. being mad that you got the same draw twice is straight up stupid.

macromite1 votes

I think you don't understand the point.

take a normal deck of 52 cards. if you draw 6 times, and shuffle it between each draw, and get a queen of hearts twice, is the deck wrong.

If you say yes, you are stupid, because you will be able to look through the deck, and see that the deck is a normal deck.

That is what you are saying, because it is randomized, and you got something random more than once, that it is bad, when in reality, that is something that can happen, its not something that is particularly unusual.

now if you had gone in like 4000 games and gotten like 800 games of it, then there might be an issue, but 2 out of 10 on the small scale is perfectly acceptable.

How can people know that they're agaisnt a premade? Or that they themselves aren't playing with either a 2, 3 or 4 man premade in their team?

Are peope psychics or is there a tool I'm not aware of?

The Deckowner9 votes

there is a "recently played with" thingy in OP.GG, if you check the match history of your enemy, and other players in the enemy team recently played with that player, they are in a premade.

macromite3 votes

if you are looking it up then you are already doing it wrong. it's just gonna tilt yourself, and make you play worse, which will make you play worse.

FearEngineer2 votes

Or just notice the "xDBAGSx" tag on the side during select (on your own team), and in the scoreboard in-game, and on the actual players during the game.

Quepha2 votes

oh no one game with slightly subpar matchmaking truly your gaming career is ruined

The Deckowner2 votes

your blindness is unbelievable. there are threads complaining about matchmaking every single day on the board and reddit, it's not just "one single game".

And it's hilarious how often I go through their matchmaking history and find out they've actually had extremely good matchmaking for 9/10 of their last matches yet they are still crying their eyes out over one game.

The Deckowner2 votes

So you are saying it's ok to have shit matchmaking for 10% of the games, damn. And you can't check if a game has premade after a week or so, op.gg only shows recent premade histories.

So you are saying it's ok to have shit matchmaking for 10% of the games, damn.

There are always going to be a few imperfect matches, removing that is impossible. If you say there weren't bad matches in previous seasons then you are lying.

The Deckowner3 votes

when it happens so frequently due to a terrible system then it is a problem. also in solo queue bad matchmaking can only be difference in ranks, not difference in premade numbers.

How frequent is "so frequently"?

Because you are complaining about a single game out of dozens, and the other complaints you talk about almost always end up being the same kind of hyperbolic nonsense.

I had played 6~7 ranked games and already 2 of them has extremely unfairly matched premade number(one being 2+2+1vs full solo and the other 3+1+1 vs full solo), how is that not frequent enough?

You've played way more than 7 ranked games.

umm you don't get to just draw the sample around whatever stretch of games most benefits your hypothesis? you have to look at an objectively collected sample that doesn't have any bias? otherwise you've done nothing but waste everyone's time?
