Yeah, it's never actually happened to me, but I imagine it does to others. I just wanted to hear what people had to say on the issue.

The better question is how many times did you say no to the ff at 15, then no again at 20 only to get into a 55 minute game of turtling until it finally ends in defeat wasting 35 minutes of time you could be using in another match or doing something else? Realistically speaking never surrendering in ranked should actually slow down your lp / hour played and in norms it just makes people waste time.

Sometimes the surrenders are unreasonable, a lot of times the game is legitimately already lost barring a string of huge mistakes from the enemy. Why waste 15 - 30 minutes on a 10% chance of winning?

I have conditions I follow to make that call:

Did we win ANY teamfight? Can we group if the answer to that is yes? Have we tried bait and snare? (Divide and conquer, but with more ambush.) Is there a strong viable way to win? Are any late-game characters, playing well?

Generally, after considering these and more, if there's a strong hint that one or more are viable options I will vote no. I will then suggest how best to follow through on the ones that seemed like viable options.

If we lose or the answers become no rapidly, then I will probably say yes to a surrender. Snowballed onto is just not fun, I'm not forcing people to play a losing game.
